I could see it. It is before he gets expensive. Not his peak as a performer, but peak value is a reasonable thought IMO. And if you are staring at 121 losses, than more than likely at least 100, then probably another not so good year, you are looking at the first possible year of contention, his last year of control. That is if a ton of stuff that never goes right for the White Sox, goes right. You're going to lose him anyway. We have gone from Hahn saying things that actually meant nothing, to Getz saying things that don't quite add up in reality.

Yes, how is anyone supposed to think he's going to get some uber prospect for the guys he signed this year, when he can't get crap for most of what he's traded away? We have seen why there should have been a GM search.

The problem is, if guys like Sosa and Vargas and Baldwin and Fletcher, are so bad they can't beat out one year veteran deals. whether they lose 121 games or 118 won't matter much, because the loss total is going to start with a 1 for years. Where is the development? Where is the eye for talent if these guys can't play?

At lease when they lose this year, they have a chance to be rewarded.

More than likely, yes. But what does Tauchman, Slater and Booser really do for the Sox? Pham played at least as well as you would have expected last season, and what good was he, except to take a couple of million from JR's bank account?

If they don't let the younger guys like Sosa and Ramos and Fletcher play, because they would rather play these re-treads, and eventually any of them wind up decent players, they have stunted it. But, you may not like what Getz was able to get for Bummer. You may not like what he was able to get for Cease. You may not like what he was able to get for Pham and Fedde and Kopech, but wait until you see the haul he gets for Tauchman, Booser and Slater. He may become the first guy to win Exec of the Year with a triple digit loss team.

Fletcher came close last year and he hardly played. Now, apparently, the Sox don't want him, and want to get older.

Had a solid .253 OBP last season, and is entering his ge 34 season, so you expect him to only get better.

Hopefully. It's been missed by more than the White Sox. Lorenzo Barcelo was supposed to be the prize of the White Flag trade. But he was always too hurt. They could never find anything. KW literally called him a p****. Turns out he needed elbow and shoulder surgery.

pitchers in the low minors pitch very few innings. There will be plenty of innings for all of these guys.

Even if he snaps back a bit, you aren't getting anything for him. Look what he brought before he was godawful and a lot younger at the deadline. A guy who hit .180 in A ball. Oh wait, we are supposed to think those guys have a chance to really be good one day.

I'm not upset about Drury, but a lot has to go right to even get anything for him as a flip, and really, at this point, shouldn't the younger guys be getting the opportunity? I have the feeling, he's a longshot to make the team.

You told us last year the bullpen was lockown. Now you tell us they have more pitching prospects than spots. See where people think youre full of it?

When the best you can do is the 10th pick in the draft, breaking the all time record for losses shouldn't be the plan. I'm glad youre not bothered by where the team is at, but the vast majority of fans are. Now they are practically giving tickets away, even for Opening Day. I believe the fanbase is being killed.
