  1. Can't flip him for anything. He's always hurt. Do you really want him around your young pitchers? Even Westeddy hasn't tried to spin this one.
  2. That's assuming he would have come back. Last year really sucked for everyone. If you have other options, anywhere else may seem a better choice.
  3. Its like chunky sometimes at the one by me.
  4. I agree. I used to love their beefs. Now it's only like it was about half the time.
  5. Looks like most got this hire right.
  6. Thank God the Orioles fired him, so the White Sox now have a hitting guru. All you need for more bat speed is a better coach. If Getz selects coaches and front office staff like he does players, they might not be .500 until JR is gone.
  7. It seems like a freebie to me. Has an option left, and since just about everyone has already passed on him, the Sox probably can get him through waivers if they want the roster spot.
  8. Until they really want change, and that would have included an exhaustive search to find the best GM, catch up is all they will ever play.
  9. Most of this I would agree with if they were replacing him with another young guy or a real RF or real CF if Robert goes. I just don’t see the point of these retreads at this time. They aren’t getting flipped for anything. They aren’t going to lead the team to the playoffs. I just don’t see the logic in moving on from a younger guys who didn’t because he didn’t get it done last year to older guys who didn’t get it done last year.
  10. He has 900 plate appearances in AAA and an .837 OPS. Sending him back down does no good. He’s 27. Time to sink or swim.
  11. Michael A. Taylor was a turd last year. In fact, pretty much all the free agents the White Sox signed last year were turds. It was the reason they were signed. I’d rather give Fletcher, who has hit everywhere until last year, a bigger shot. If he fails, he fails, so what? If he does hit, Westeddy can bow to his Chris Getz shrine. All these other guys are 1 year or under, most probably under, and if you think they will command a decent prospect at the deadline…….
  12. I was in the keep Robert camp, but I didn’t anticipate 121 losses. That’s 40 under being average which would mean you are at least 2 or 3 years from actually competing . 3 or 4 least year, and if he played like the star he could be, there is no way JR would pay him. So you would have him for 1 year of contention at most, and Chris Getz said after the fact that 110 losses in 2024 wouldn’t have surprised him, so he knew the score or is lying.
  13. This is the time to see what you have, not sign washedup vets to take their ABs away. Taylor is obviously better defensive, but if you're trying to do your pitchers a favor, you still have to score runs. As I mentioned earlier, Tommy Pham performed at least as well as expected last year. In what way did the White Sox ultimately benefit by giving those ABs to him and not DeLoach and Fletcher? Considering your make them earn it edict, are you OK if Montgomery is the Openimg Day SS, or should they bring in another washed-up ver?
  14. Why has Michael A. Taylor shown at this stage of his career he deserves a spot on the team?
  15. LMAO. You have issues with people complaining and not trusting a team that has lost 222 games the last 2 years. You do it almost every post. You’ve been far more wrong than right.
  16. I could see it. It is before he gets expensive. Not his peak as a performer, but peak value is a reasonable thought IMO. And if you are staring at 121 losses, than more than likely at least 100, then probably another not so good year, you are looking at the first possible year of contention, his last year of control. That is if a ton of stuff that never goes right for the White Sox, goes right. You're going to lose him anyway. We have gone from Hahn saying things that actually meant nothing, to Getz saying things that don't quite add up in reality.
  17. Michael A. Taylor is a major league hitter? To me, it’s a waste of $2 million. if you trade Robert, put Fletcher in CF. He played there at the game I went to in Milwaukee. Made a nice catch and got hurt.
  18. Fletcher is 27. He isn’t going to get anything out of going to Charlotte. See if he can play. If not, so what?
  19. Amazing how he went to s%*# right when he got paid.
  20. Actually, this news came out several weeks ago.
  21. Yes, how is anyone supposed to think he's going to get some uber prospect for the guys he signed this year, when he can't get crap for most of what he's traded away? We have seen why there should have been a GM search.
  22. The problem is, if guys like Sosa and Vargas and Baldwin and Fletcher, are so bad they can't beat out one year veteran deals. whether they lose 121 games or 118 won't matter much, because the loss total is going to start with a 1 for years. Where is the development? Where is the eye for talent if these guys can't play?
  23. At lease when they lose this year, they have a chance to be rewarded.
