  1. Myles Garrett has requested a trade.
  2. Not that any of this really matters, but it begs the question, why didn't they just DFA DeLoach the first time? Minds were changed based on what?
  3. Once mediocrity is accepted, It's the best you are going to get.
  4. I wonder why Sac wants Zach and DeMar. Haven't they paid attention the last few years. Each is much better without the other.
  5. Clearly missing the boat on Thorpe, and if you don't think Sammy Zavala and his career .174 average in high A is not going to be a contributor to good MLB teams, you're a racist.
  6. Yeah, the location is why they suck. Just an FYI, it’s easier to get to the Rate than any other professional sports facility in Chicago.
  7. There are still a ton of recognizable names available.
  8. He was a bad draft pick in a horrible draft.
  9. He might get hurt signing the contract.
  10. What the revenues show is the White Sox are missing a golden opportunity because they can't run their organization correctly. And now are relegated to asking the state for handouts.
  11. I haven't read the update, but Law has always been a little more optimistic about him sticking at SS, at least for a while, than most others, although he has mentioned the back, and seemingly stiff body. I just hope they can get rid of the back issue. If they put him at 3B or 2B, i couldn't care less.
  12. At one point he had Montgomery in his top 20. A year and a half with a bad back has soured him.
  13. Dick Allen bobblehead day, I may have to pause my protest and attend.
  14. Fangraphs would ratheer moan about Chris Getz than see his genius, which is so obvious to anyone with a clue.
  15. Steve Stone would sign it on the inside at the shoulder. Doesn't want to sign the sweet spot because he thinks people will sell his autograph for thousands.
  16. The sad part was, we were promised so much. 2020 was a revelation, however, we couldn't go to games, the playoffs were expanded, and if they played a full schedule, with the state of the pitching staff, the team would have probably been average, which was great at the time. 2021. they make the playoffs, but have obvious holes. We think this is just the beginning, but the reality was, it was the end. Now, we get to do it again. How fun. Just trust the White Sox. They know what they are doing. Just look at their track record.
  17. You spend most of your time grousing. I love the White Sox. Had season tickets over 30 years. 30 years, I've given them plenty of passes, but not anymore. Go back to the 2024 season prediction thread. We both predicted the exact same number. 41 wins bothered me, especially given the reasons we were told there was no search for a real GM. You couldn't care less. Not everyone is the same. Sorry you think my way is stupid. I think belng happy the team is the laughingstock of the league is stupid.
  18. PT Barnum would have cleaned you out.
  19. No. They were mad he gave up. And the poster who brought up the White Flag trade was you in an effort to show fans will criticize JR no matter what. But it wasn't for what you tried to spin it.
  20. Up to that point, Robin Ventura had been back for 7 games. Again, you lied and said people were mad at JR for telling the truth. That just isn’t true.
  21. People weren't mad at JR for telling his truth, they were mad he gave up. Non Sox fans also thought it was a disgrace. Bur the resident organization water carrier spins it another way. Which, ironically enough is a lie. BTW, Cleveland won 86 games that year. Not exactly a juggernaut, and Ventura had pretty much just returned.
  22. What I can't get over is JR saying theSox can't wastea year, and a lie he also stated when hiring Getz was 2024 would be better than 2023. Toure OK being lied to, that's fine. You want to believe the reason the Sox won the division in 2000 was the White Flag trade. That's great. You have bought a team 3 games out at the end of July with Thomas, Belle, and Ventura the heart of the batting order, had no chance. That's great. Let's see if youre consistently the future. I'm guessing not.
  23. 2024 was the first time besides 2020 Covid that I didn’t go to at least one Sox home game since I was 3 years old. I’ve had years I was over 70 games. I did go to one game in Milwaukee, which was an L.
  24. I spend the thousands I used to spend enjoying myself watching White Sox games, enjoying myself doing other things. I call this an entertainment budget. I would rather be entertained. If you still get a kick out of watching a team not trying to win, good for you. You will see me when they not only start trying to win, but actually succeeding at it. I’ve lived through the lies, the losing, and all the failures. Now it’s show me don’t tell me time.
  25. They will probably sell out that night. Statue pays for itself.
