  1. Peavy seems to flinch after each pitch. I wonder if he doesn't have some issues after being hit last year.
  2. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 07:16 PM) Well, the good news is the Twins are so good that we won't have to be disappointed for long. They are going to stomp a mud hole in this division early. They already have to be honest. The Twins cannot win outside.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 07:18 PM) He didn't say, just that he was told in ST that Peavy was hurt and he still is. He's done some sort of move after a couple of pitches that would indicate a shoulder issue. Something isn't right. He doesn't walk this many people.
  4. That last one was a ball. If he were a more significant player it would be 3-3 right now.
  5. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 08:38 PM) Alexei... LOL God bless him but Konerko has to be the slowest ball player on the planet. I think Paulie would blow away Bengie Molina in a sprint. He may be the slowest player in history.
  6. Stone said in spring training, Alexei lost 5 lbs this offseason. How does he lose weight? He's almost see-through.
  7. Alexei is due. Its fairly warm in Dallas. Somebody tell him its May.
  8. A hit here would be huge for the Sox and even more huge for Quentin.
  9. How many times do we see this happen. For the love of God, you have to get the guy in from third. You have to have a plan. The baseball IQ of this team is questionable.
  10. Are the Sox going exclusively with the black tops this year?
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) The organization's negligence of OBP is showing up so far this season in a bad way. KW said he wanted a .350 OBP, then acquired guys who rarely have a .350 OBP.
  12. I think Andruw would be even better if he just tried to hit it 450 instead of 500 feet every time.
  13. The Sox every day leadoff man has the same sluggling pct. as he does batting average. The everyday SS has the same on base pct. as batting average. I know its early but today is the 20th game of the year.
  14. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 08:16 PM) Lucy with as many walks as AJ now as well? And millions of times more walks than Alexei has this season just in one AB.
  15. The White Sox have to be one of the worst road draws in the AL so far.
  16. Reality has to hit sometime, but Lucy has been productive offensively just about every game he's played.
  17. Quentin is running like his foot might be bothering him. I hope not. He'll start hitting soon so will Beckham. When Beckham starts hitting, he should lead off and Pierre can bat second and bunt all the time.
  18. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 27, 2010 -> 06:40 PM) If the Bulls don't land one of the big 3 they're f***ed, going to be a .500 team for the next few years barring any unforeseen circumstance like lucky FA signings. One of those 3 would make the Bulls a perennial contender, but without them, they won't be good enough to get any high seeds or have any real shot at making it out of the second round, and they won't be bad enough to get a lottery pick. They currently are in NBA hell, right in the middle of being great and being horrible, but a FA or 2 could change that. If they don't get one of the big 3 or 4 if you include Johnson, I hope they don't blow their wad on a couple of lesser guys. Its always advantageous to have a lot of cap space. I know its beyond a longshot, but if you were Lebron and seriously looked at the 2 rosters, Cleveland and Chicago, you would have to say Chicago is far superior with yourself than Cleveland is or will be with you. If Lebron signed with the Bulls and the Bulls key players remained healthy, they would dominate the NBA until their contracts ran out. Seriously, 6 or 7 titles minimum if you ask me. I really think when its all said and done, Lebron will be thought of as close to Michael Jordan's equal as anyone who has ever played or maybe even better. There's nothing he can't do, and he's bigger and stronger than MJ. Of course, he will have to shine in the Finals first.
  19. Paulie put his band aid right on his bat.
  20. Ricketts need something to fill the trophy case he just built.
  21. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 10:56 AM) Will his hairpiece be attending? Yeah, I think "the Piv" is more concerned about wind than rain. Chasing that thing down would be embarrassing.
  22. The Sox have the correct pitcher on the mound for this potential sweep. Its time to get on a roll.
  23. QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 12:42 PM) How did Sox fans react to his first at bat yesterday? He hasn't played.
