White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Dick Allen replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This is the best news they could have received from these meetings. I do question Getz referring to it as an honor. Dude, it pretty much means your team really sucks. -

Rick Hahn working for MLB Network at the meetings. -
I think the biggest impact action of the Winter Meetings that the White Sox actually have a great shot of doing is winning the draft lottery. It’s supposed to be a year of an obvious #1 pick.

It does seem hard to believe, but Giannis always had a hard on for the Bulls, and this could have happened when they were 5-0 and the darlings of the league. Then reality hit. How the Reinsdorfs have rewarded the people that still show up to watch this team lose is sickening. It shows you just how little chance the White Sox would have of sustained winning even if their fans were like Cubs fans and showed up no matter what. -

I just read an article where a GM said this years meetings will probably be boring. Welcome to the world of a White Sox fan. -
The National Equirer is more accurate than that guy.

Prey much nailed it.

I totally agree. Sell the team.

Look how many of those first rounders were or now are White Sox. -
These guys spend so much money on teams, yet they claim they can’t make any money so they don’t even try to compete, and refuse to sell. Something doesn’t add up. Accounting tricks help them cry poor. Mark Cuban had to say he only made a profit 2 seasons with the Mavs, because that is what the tax returns say and he knows the current administration would love to charge him with something.

According to Lou Cannelis, the Greek Freak is interested in becoming a Bull. The Bulls are not interested in him. -

I'm like Rick Hahn, I'd just be happy to get a seat at any table. -

Is “The 78” Dead? Or even more alive? Fire announce plans for SSS

If Reinsdorf is in charge until 2029, he won’t be part of one when he gets the White Sox unless he lasts as long as as Jerry. -

I've seen 2 developers, a politician, and Our Chuck just mentioned it the other day, but said he was then told it could work. -

A lot of people in the know don't think 2 stadiums on the 78 is feasable from a space perspective, especially with all the add ons requred for a new place today. -

8 to 10 times a season is fine to go to Soldier Field. The Sox season ticket base would get hammered harder than 121 loss seasons if they played 81 games there. -
He actually was much better defensively than advertised. He still isn’t the hitter Schriffen makes him out to be. He did have a glorious stretch, but per usual, regression to the mean occurred.

That steward of the franchise and not the owner is the same BS Reinsdorf was spewing when he first got the team.
