  1. I would think so. If they had fewer injuries, the race would be over. There is going to be a lot of weight on the pitcher's shoulders. If the Sox can avoid some bad injuries there, they should be OK.
  2. There is no way he is not going on the IL. Hopefully it isn't more than a month, but that looked like an at least a month pull.
  3. Shocking news. Kyle Long is hurt. Some sort of leg injury. They hope he can return by the start of the regular season.
  4. Right now, they are pretty much the 2017-2019 White Sox with a much better rotation and Liam Hendriks.
  5. They have a lead, and some hope the players return. At the deadline, there may be a little more pressure on them if the race is tight, and the injured guys aren't progressing.
  6. The most amazing thing about this season is how little we have heard from KW. You wouldn't even know if he is still with the team.
  7. Has anyone been paying attention? If Madrigal is out long enough to require an addition, Yolmer part 3 will happen. He is hitting .167 in AAA with a ton of strikeouts. He won't cost anything.
  8. Almost every player of the projected starting line up at the beginning of spring training has been hurt. Moncada and Vaughn may be the exceptions.
  9. Not to mention a season ticketholder moved to another section isn't going to be happy when their seats are now available for sale. Plus it is only 3 weekday games.
  10. I don't know what will happen when they get to 100% capacity, but right now, at 60%, it's fine. You cannot go between levels. You now can walk around the park. You now can enter at any gate. You cannot bring bags like backpacks. Everything is cashless, and there are no vendors. If you are there just to watch the game, it's actually fabulous. No constant up and down the aisle blocking your view. Some separation between parties, and a good team to watch.
  11. I haven't looked at White Sox spin rates, but the guys I would really be concerned with are Rodon and Giolito.
  12. Which could mean he just got old, or he tried to play it straight. There going to start checking guys more than once a game. This appears so widespread, it will be a major game changer. Some guys will probably be just fine. But I bet more than a few fall apart.
  13. With Cole starting to get lit up, I wonder if the Astros pitchers were cheating more than their hitters. Verlander went from struggling to better than ever. I remember watching an MLBN segment where they were just gushing how the Astros were able to teach their pitchers how to increase spin rates. Looks like that entire team was a scam. Too bad really. They had the talent to win straight up.
  14. I just like the fact, that the hardest thing about hitting a baseball is making contact, is something he has mastered. They can and will make him stronger. I like his chances having a really nice career.
  15. I think he would be fun to watch. But a rookie tied for 84th place in HR, shouldn't be invited. Get hot again Yerminator, and maybe you will go.
  16. That's legit. Brother.
  17. Why would you not play to win by more than one run?
  18. Robin Ventura was 0-40 and got over. I am sure if this kid is as good as most think, he will get over it too.
  19. If you want to get banned, at least have some fun and do something to deserve it.
  20. He's a clever little guy. He's got basically a half a MLB season now under his belt, and he has already done some things the naysayers said will never happen. He is starting to hit the ball a bit harder and sooner, and pulling it a little more. His defense hasn't been the GG quality that was advertised, but give it some time. He is a nice change of pace in the line up. He has a higher slugging percentage than Soxtalk favorite target Joey Gallo.
  21. Stone is a good analyst but full of himself. He is a 17.0 career WAR pitcher, most of the time being slightly above replacement level. I will never forget a Soxfest when he refused to sign a ball on the sweet spot because he thought the fan would try to sell it for big bucks, Someone should tell him a new ball costs$10. A ball signed by him eventually makes it to the $5 bin at Soxfest.
  22. Brian Kenny who views baseball about as differently as possible as Hawk Harrelson does, just paid homage to the Hawk on MLBN. They had a live look in at the Cin/STL game, when they made the final out, he gave a Hawk like, this game is OVA!
  23. Probably the drop in spin rate.
  24. He went out of his way to say he has nothing on his hat the other day. I really think he is pitching straight up. I do think there are several White Sox using some pine tar, and I think Mr. Sportsmanship knows all about it, I wonder if he will eventually turn them in,
