  1. I definitely think he would like the SDNY off his back and would probably concede in a second if that were on the table. But there is no way that is on the table. He has a losing hand, and has nothing to bluff with. He's screwed. If he funds this Super pac saying they are for the frivolous lawsuits, he wins in a way. I really think that is what this is all about. I think even Trump knows he's screwed, and if he doesn't everyone around him, except for maybe Rudy does. I saw Michael Cohen yesterday, and keeping with the grain of salt theme..............but he said Trump has no income. His properties are doing poorly and he has debts coming due. This slush fund is needed pretty badly.
  2. He is using this to fund his super PAC, slush fund, and just keep spinning to his cult followers that he is not a loser but a victim.
  3. Whatever he drank, it was enough to damage his car, and it could have been a human being. If it was no big deal, why did they cover it up?
  4. I get that, but at this point, getting off is a technicality. He still drove drunk. The best receiver for Iowa got suspended for last weeks game because 2 weeks ago, he was arrested for DUI. He hasn't had his day in court, yet the school suspended him. If there were no breathalyzer or blood test showing his alcohol level maybe you have a point. But getting off now is just privilege.
  5. The tests are inaccurate? What a coincidence that would be. People phoning in saying this guy was all over the road, and they find him with his car damaged calling AAA. How unlucky could Tony be?
  6. So far the evidence is a breathalyzer and a blood test. Maybe he gets off like Bob Avelini used to. The fact is, if he gets off, it's a technicality. He drove drunk. He used very bad judgement again. And he thought his HOF ring was immunity. Acquitted doesn't necessarily mean you didn't do it. On average, and I have no idea how they figure these things, a person drives drunk 80 times before their first arrest. So it makes you wonder how much of a menace on the road Tony LaRussa is.
  7. As someone who has a friend with permanent brain damage because he was driving a car hit by a drunk driver, I believe your stance on no charge unless something really bad happens is beyond ridiculous. If I were to shoot a gun at you and miss, because I missed, does that mean I should be able to go my merry way? LaRussa already had a DUI and proclaimed to the world it would never happen again. It happened again, and if they just let him go his merry way this time, and the media never found out, there is a good chance it would happen in the future. The guy has a problem. Whether he drinks excessively or is a lightweight and can't handle a drink or two, it needs to be recognized. The fact is, people called it in. He was swerving all over the road. It's lucky he didn't do damage to someone or something other than his tire. He is a 76 year old man who claims to know better. But he throws out his tough guy HOFer baseball person. Legit. The guy is a piece of shit, but for some reason JR just can't get enough of him. I had enough in 1986. But there is a double standard. If he was still playing and alive, if Bob Probert got caught doing the same thing, Blackhawks fans would be very sympathetic. If this was AJ Hinch, the people that wanted him hired, would spin it as nowhere near a fireable offense. And DUI's shouldn't be fireable offenses unless you are a school bus driver or a pilot, or something along those lines. DUI is a real lack of judgement. Especially from a guy like LaRussa who claims to be so sincere. For a guy so upset the police officer was embarrassing him,. he doesn't think trying to hide this and having it ultimately come out embarrasses the White Sox even worse. And they all were his actions.
  8. It appeared Bochy was their second choice, and previously he said he would listen. You just wonder if a guy with 3 rings and in his mid 60s would be willing to be the back up option. But I can't see the Sox letting LaRussa go. Unless LaRussa deems it too embarrassing for the organization and walks away, I can't see how he will not be running spring training. And the fact that he took the job and had the press conference knowing this day would come at some point, it doesn't appear he can be embarrassed.
  9. I'm glad that he seems to be OK. Just pretty skeptical this won't be an issue again in the near future.
  10. What has changed Greg? It might be time you get your news from a different channel.
  11. BTW, the Trump emails for donations to fund the fraud fight, the small print now says 60% to Teumps new super-pac, Which in essence is his post presidential slush fund. The next 40% goes directly to the RNC. Funds over $5k go to the fraud fight.
  12. I get that but they all knew it before he took the job. If he was pulled over the other day, it makes total sense. i think the heat will cool down a little bit. If it doesn’t, he might quit, but will probably site something else for the decision.
  13. Ricky had to go, but his lower bowel movements had more class than Tony LaRussa.
  14. He was on MLB Network yesterday, and was asked about playing for LaRussa. He gave a respectable answer. This was before the DUI came to light.
  15. Since 2000, there have been well over 1,000,000,000 ballots cast in US electionsi and 32 documented cases of voter fraud. Shockingly, of those 32, they didn’t all slant for the democrat. Trump lost the Iowa caucus back in 2016, said Ted Cruz was guilty of fraud, and it needed to be re done. Quit placating this baby. He lost. It is over. It is time everyone admitted it. Every single suit Trump has filed has been frivolous. But since you think this is a good thing, why don’t you send his campaign some money so they can continue to do the right thing?
  16. For a guy who has such a problem with Kaepernick, Tony seems to trust cops even less.
  17. I wonder what LaRussa did or said to Passan to make Passan so aggressively against him. He seems so docile. But LaRussa pisses him off.
  18. If a bad player gets a DUI, we say get rid of him. If a good one does, we say everyone makes mistakes. Tony is pretty unpopular so he is going to fall into the first group. DUI is a serious offense. This is his second time. I cannot believe the White Sox didn’t get out in front of this. It would have been so easy. Now they look like an organization that goes out of its way to hide things from its fan base. It makes them look very sleazy. I feel bad for ticket reps getting calls and emails. They did nothing wrong. Brooks Boyer is a good guy, and look what he has to deal with. He is such a good guy he returns messages. What can he do? But they made their bed. It is scary even the DUI couldn’t deter JR from this hire.
  19. This is just his latest grift. The small print on his donation request emails to fight the fraud say 60% is to retire debt. He throws a few of these out there, the suckers and losers who are sending him money get satisfied, and he gets billed paid, if not cash pocketed.
  20. Exactly, they knew all about this. It isn't a surprise, and they hired him anyway. Getting rid of him now isn't being legit or sincere. We know all about this with the current president and his scandals. Give it a week or two and Tony the Drunk is old news.
  21. He probably already is. Tony is going to be showing him his ring. He's legit driver boy.
  22. This is all not that surprising. Anyone who was around for Tony's first stint knows what a jackass he can be. Another tough guy who doesn't think rules apply to him.
  23. Tony is a HOFer baseball person. He is legit. Driving drunk is OK for guys like him. The Sox will get what they deserve. Maybe someone will step up and alert JR that this asshole needs to stay away.
  24. Ted Cruz sticking up for Trump just shows how ball less he is. Not only did he say Cruz was Lyin' Ted, and his father was in on the JFK assassination and his wife was ugly, he also tweeted this 4 years ago. We can only hope this was investigated, and the results nullified. SO UNFAIR. Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump · Feb 3, 2016 Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified.
