I think if the money was around the same, he would pick the White Sox. He lives in Vegas, Spring Training in AZ would be a lot more desirable than in FL. Sadly, we will never know.

It's been their half assed approach since the strike in 1994. Everything has to go right to win. Players have to sacrifice pay for the honor of being a White Sox. When the 6 divisions were made, it seemed a slam dunk with where the game was going financially the Sox would dominate the Central. They are the only team who has not.

As a fan there really isn’t anything you can do. As it is, the White Sox fan base has sent a message loud and clear. Declining attendance every season since 2007 except one year when it was up slightly when they slashed ticket prices. Lowest TV ratings in the league. Radio station gets rid of them in bankruptcy because hardly anyone listens. All these things, plus 6 losing years in a row. No playoffs in over a decade. These clowns still think the White Sox are a destination. How the fuck are they going to get a player to take $50 million less in guaranteed money to come to their park when they cannot even get a fan to come to a game? KW took over in 2001. The Sox had one of the youngest teams in baseball. Won the division. Farm system ranked first...ESPN even knew they existed. Peter Gammons said not onky would they own Chicago, they would own MLB. One season they did. Other than hat mostly mediocrity. The one constant has been the decision makers. Anyone who thought they would actually pay Harper after they didn’t pay Machado wasn’t paying attention. Anyone who thinks these guys can oversee a team that wins consistently for years, didn’t pay attention. The team needs to change. Hahn has admitted that. But what he hasn’t admitted is th biggest change needed, is not trading with the Cubs, or going over your international money pool. It is getting new people to make decisions. This is for Charlotte. If somehow Preston Tucker gets significant playing time with the White Sox even more shit went way wrong.

I think he is the one guy we have already seen at the big league level that there is a real hope he could take off.They are having him hold the bat differently, whatever that will do. But I think a slight change in approach can mean a big jump to his numbers. The guy was 7-130 in ABs where he got down in a count 0-2 with nearly 100 strikeouts. Swinging at good pitches to hit may change that. Being selective is nice, but not if you are letting good pitches go and it gets you in a hole, He has enough ability where if he starts swinging at good pitches to hit, he will still see a ton of pitches anyway because of the damage he will do. i know he also got rung up a lot when he shouldn’t have, but that is something he needs to recognize as well. He isn’t going to get those calls yet. Maybe some day, but not now. He needs to foul them of or put them in play or the seats.

Actually it’s both. If they cannot take you from point B to point C, you cannot expect them to take you from point A to point B to point C. This pursuit of premium free agents, something you “insiders” told all of us common folk was planned for years, couldn’t have been a bigger failure. Not only did they whiff on the big names with the big spenders sitting out. They added $13 million in mediocrity at best to the payroll to do so. Great plan.

Bulls/White Sox attendance are different animals. And being in Chicago, hard to understand. Before MJ, the Bulls drew tumbleweeds. Even the first couple years of MJ, many nights you could get a ticket night of the game. But since, it is amazing what they draw. I go to games just to watch the game. The rest of the stuff really means very little to me, but I have to admit, you go to a Bulls game, even without the game, it’s really quite a show. MJ hasn’t played for the Bulls for over 20 years. IMO, they are still printing money because of him.
