QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 03:23 PM) What if Yolmer is like 100 times better than Carlos? Then he will almost be replacement level.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 02:22 PM) I believe Sanchez is out of options. I think either he or Lawrie will be traded in spring training. Neither are long for the White Sox. Moncada coming. Maybe Lawrie at 3B, probably not, but you certainly aren't putting Sanchez there, and I don't know if he is really utility material. I'd rather have a more shortstopy type. Sanchez can play SS but I think it's best you have a guy who really is a SS defensively but plays the rest as a back up when they contend.

He has to be at least as good as Carlos Sanchez.

Forbes pegs the Bulls worth at $2.5 billion.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 11:14 AM) At this point we are primed for a lake effect event. The lake isn't frozen at all. If we were to get the right direction winds in the 25 to 30 mph area, plus about a 30 degree temp, we'd get buried. This is almost exactly how we got the blizzard in Indiana in March of 98. The snow belt is an entire different animal than on the west side of the lake. We think we get it bad, but it's nothing compared to you guys. You get all the cold and wind and while we get an occasional lake effect snow, nothing like in IN or MI.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 11:04 AM) I keep looking at the 10 day, waiting to see a snow fall, but nope. That is my MO. I keep thinking we are going to pay, but time is running out for the really bad stuff. March can really suck, but at least you shouldn't get 2 feet of snow and 20 below windchills.

Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 09:15 AM) I don't really enjoy hearing news like that, too painful. Oh we ALMOST had something nice happen but it didn't? Cool. When was the last year we didn't hear the same story? -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 03:26 AM) Jokic doesn't have a fat, past his prime, iso, ball-hog gettin' in the way. But yes, he is a stud. This is a wonderful time to be alive. Jokic? Unicorn? Greek Freak? Embiid? Oh my!!! The league has never been oh so good. There are a lot of good players, but the league as a whole sucks a lot right now. A lot of horrible teams. Many mediocre teams, only a couple of teams you could call elite, and even they are except for the Warriors, a twisted ankle from being mediocre.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 09:03 AM) you mean it is bad when you call the CIA a bunch of Nazis, and then show multiple conflicts of interest with a foreign government? Who could possibly have guessed that wouldnt work out well? Didn't Trump praise the IC a few weeks ago with his little staged speech? Didn't he say no one respects them more than Donald Trump. No one. Didn't he say they all voted for him as well? I don't think Trump is a traitor. I think he is clueless. He actually did in broad daylight ask the Russians to hack into Hillary's emails. But it is odd he gets into an argument with Austrailia of all countries and has nothing bad to say about Russia.

Amazing Republicans have no use for "leakers". Didn't Supreme Ruler Trump praise Wikileaks 3 months ago? And if they are this upset about leaks, aren't they acknowledging the information is true and not "fake news"?

Russian spy ship spotted off NH coast. Your move Mr. President.

QUOTE (brett05 @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 11:54 AM) Yes, they quit for sucking so bad at it in 2010 and 2012 I recalled it wrong. My bad. They really blew the 2010 Presidential election.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 08:38 AM) I just want to point out that while Flynn was getting s***canned, Mnunchin was confirmed. The guy who was busted for predatory loans and funneled 100 million through an offshore bank (and didn't mention that when being vetted, because that was an oversight) was just pushed through and congress was all "cool nbd" Draining the swamp. The 99% will not be forgotten. There is still some more to take from them.

Trump going to FL again this weekend. 3 in a row. Said he would always be in the White House when he was a candidate. Said there wasn't time to take off. Criticized Obama 11 times for playing golf. It will be the 3rd weekend out of 5 he went golfing. Each trip costs taxpayers $3 million.

QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 07:49 PM) Like I said, until he makes another trade, that conspiracy will exist. I'm sure it's not true, but there is no proof it's bogus either right now. The conspiracy does not exist. It is a figment of imagination. How many players did they acquire this offseason on major league contracts? If they weren't truly rebuilding something more significant than Geo Soto would have been acquired and even he isn't on the 40 man yet. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 07:35 PM) One thing I'm not sure I've seen anyone point out is that back in September or early October, Hahn had a line saying "You'll know our direction after the second trade" - something very close to that, specifically stating 2 trades. I have to admit, I find that line more interesting as of now, waiting for any movement other than the 2 trades he basically said would happen. He said you would know the direction after the first couple of moves. There actually were a couple of moves before the trades, and he clearly has said time and time again they are closer to the beginning than the end of the rebuild, would like to make 4 more of these trades, and has said other teams ownership has nixed 2 deals. The LaRoche connection conspiracy is crazy. It just worked out that the first 2 were Sale and Eaton, could have been Frazier and Q. -
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 06:42 PM) I'd say Melky over Jones. Honestly, I don't they are very motivated to move Jones right now, they probably figure he can greatly improve his value with some closing experience. I agree.

Robertson to WASH was close, now at stalemate

The list of Mike Rizzo bad trades is pretty short, if there even is one. -
Apparently according to Kellyanne, Trump is still on board with Flynn. Makes sense. Bouncing him for lying would be sort of hypocritical at this point.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 02:45 PM) It was on yahoo but I guess FOX News wrote it http://nation.foxnews.com/2017/02/13/goodw...e-lost-election The one place you would find a "fair and balanced" article about Hillary Clinton is on the Fox News website. Everyone knows that.

QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 02:42 PM) Shouldn't we all? "Reality" TV game shows are a little better.

Hopefully, 8 months from now, we will feel the same way about these guys.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 01:45 PM) Jethro Tull on the list at #96. I will never forget watching a game with Harry Caray announcing. He used to mention many names of people at the park. One day he said "Jethro Tull here with a group."

QUOTE (brett05 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 01:25 PM) You failed remedial math, didn't you. Be brave and admit it. With his 53% approval rating, most people are coal miners if I am wrong. LMAO. Brett must work in the WH. His "reality" is the same. Today, according to Gallop: The daily tracking poll found that just 40% of Americans approve of President Trump's job as president so far, compared to 55% who say the disapprove. The negative 15-point spread is the highest recorded in the poll since Trump took office January 20. He might have a 53% approval rating if you polled his offspring.
