  1. I loved his quotes that people were sleeping on the Sox. He not being able to play did give Lee a shot.
  2. Rick Hahn after the trade deadline last season. These guys really are clueless. “We still have many impactful talents in Chicago. We still play in a division in which nobody has run away and hid in. Certainly, competing for the postseason is viable in 2024,” Hahn said. “In all candor, sitting here 55 minutes after the trade deadline just ended, proclaiming ‘this is how we’re going to get there in ‘24’ isn’t exactly our mission. “Based upon what we were able to do in this year’s draft and what we’ve been able to do at the deadline, the organization is much, much stronger for ‘24 and beyond. Precisely what that looks like in terms of the big league level in ‘24, let’s get to the end of the season and assess everything.
  3. Why does he pinch run Ellis for Julks if he is bunting anyway? Not hitting for Maldonado and Eliis vs. Jansen instead of Julks vs. Jansen is an obvious downgrade and cost a better shot of adding a run. He’s a bad manager but Bob makes it seem like he’s going to at least finish the season employed.
  4. I did find it funny that John apparently doesn’t know the real reason for the campaign to get Maldonado to the All Star game.
  5. He'd be great at the Nathan's hot dog eating contest.
  6. I like it if the team is decent. I think it's a bit inappropriate when the team is bad, although after 14 losses in a row, I was fine with it. Sort of like a hitter celebrating a bloop hit after an 0-25 streak.
  7. I think this is as close to a lock the Sox will get for a win. Boston coming off 23 hits, Sox have their best pitcher....
  8. I've been saying this for a few weeks, The White Sox are farther from getting out of last place in the AL Central ,than any other AL team is from being in 1st place.
  9. There's no question he was a frisbee golf player.
  10. TV ratings, attendance,, merchandise sales, or just merch if you are as cool as Schriffen, all taking a bite out of JR's wallet. How can he not realize this, and scorch the earth for someone who can fix this?
  11. I remember in Spring Training, they mentioned he lost a lot of weight. I guess he found it.
  12. Schriffen just said how important DeJongs “power surge” has been with the injuries. More proof he has no idea how bad 15-46 is.
  13. Considering 60 games in, they were down to 2 starters, it probably wouldn't have ended well.
  14. I think he messed up his ankle, but not on that slide.
  15. All I know is I watched the video, and there is no indication Pham messed up his ankle on that play.
  16. This could be good news. If anyone remembers that sort of reality show they had on MLBN back in the day where they followed around KW, and JR, and RH, I remember them watching Rosenthal give some report and KW wondered how he got the info.
  17. Mentioned this before the season started. Really no reason to throw him a strike, and he goes on streaks where he will swing at sliders 2 feet outside.
  18. We ain't takin' that. No we ain't taking that A-train. I don't care how many L's we got. I actually like Southside Staaaaaaaaaaaaand up, if it's used correctly. He had another where he imitated a slot machine. I thought that was pretty good too. But there is too much amateurish stuff going on here, and it seems to me he had no idea who or what the White Sox were or are until he was contacted for an interview.
  19. Pedro is just going to have to get creative. What does he mean by that? 76-147.
  20. I would think you are correct. If, somehow, Crochet makes it through the season unscathed, that may make him pretty valuable in the offseason.
  21. I agree, but if they want to pay up, the Sox have to do it. Crochet has 2 years left, I believe, and JR isn't going to pay him if he's an ace.
  22. Schriffen probably thinks this team just bolstered itself for a playoff run.. Southside, staaaaaaaaaaaaaad up.
  23. Did Pham get hurt practicing kick boxing kicks?
  24. After yet another blunder Sunday, Remillard got what he deserved. I hope he is released or elects free agency, so the Sox will not be tempted to use him anymore.
  25. If a couple of them didn't go down, they probably don't sign Pham who has made up for what was lost for some of it. It wasn't like these injured dopes were going to get you 5 more wins, and even if they did, that would be 20-40, which is still unacceptable. The Sox best 2 signings in recent years were Pham and Cueto, all because that was what was left.
