  1. I'll take anyone. It's the time to see if they can develop into something when the team is actually ready to win. JR didn't want to waste time. Pedro in the dugout is a huge waste of time.
  2. Sox will try to avoid being swept for the 9th time of the season tonight. Last year, they were swept 8 times and lost 101 games. This year it didn't even take to Memorial Day to get to 8. Can't waste a year.
  3. His brown nosing has no limits. A good evaluator of talent? $181 million payroll lost 101 games. Highest payroll in the division 15-41 and have pretty much clinched last place in May.
  4. It’s hard to fathom who else in the world would think Chris Getz as the GM and Pedro Grifol as a manager is a good idea. I predicted the Sox to win 68 games this year, and I am an idiot, They would have to go 53-53 the rest of the way to do that.
  5. I still find it funny some are still blaming at least some of the woes on injuries. The Sox probably don’t sign Pham if the 3 don’t get hurt, and he’s been their best player. And the team is going to pay $8 million for Moncada and ILoy to go away once this season ends.
  6. Obviously the Sox knew Clevinger had an issue. I don’t know their fascination with Peralta, but maybe they think no one will claim him, or maybe Getz was just bored that day.
  7. You want to be entertained watching a Sox game? There are a few on youtube with Harry and Jimmy. Just classic. Ripping all the bad, stupid plays.
  8. They have 1 qualified hitter with an OPS over .600.
  9. If Fedde performs well and is traded, and Crochet hits an innings limit, what are the last 2 months going to look like?
  10. Sox used to do the same. Then they won the WS, so a number was what you were. After that wore off, it was good again, then COVID hit and they had their excuse not to go the extra mile again.
  11. I understand what you are writing, but I don’t believe ANYONE ripping Pedro constantly, which includes me, doesn’t think the Sox would be awful no matter who managed them. This team has made the same mistakes over and over for 217 games. He cannot manage. And he is afraid of veterans. Finally popped off and said what he should have said in April 2023. And what happens? He benches the 2 rookies. And if you think I am playing Monday morning QB, check this site. I called it way before any of us had a line up. And they get 1 run today. Someone has to go. 15-40 with 10 as high as you can draft should be unacceptable. For some reason it isn’t.
  12. Why was Maldonado hitting in the 7th? Pedro must have like his afkustments.
  13. Bill Walton
  14. He didn't do anything but go hitless like the rest of the Sox starting line up. Pedro, per usual just takes it out on rookies.
  15. I’m guessing what will happen today is both Lee and Ramos will be out of the line up. Pedro can go back to using youngsters as an example while giving vets a free pass.
  16. This is really something Pedro should have said literally 200 games ago. So I doubt it will do any good. I think he sees the writing on the wall, and this was his break the glass move.. He’s soon a goner. They will say it’s not his fault but something needs to be done. But there is plenty of blame he should take.
  17. Pedro throwing a Hail Mary! He’s right, but he’s ignored it for a season and a third.
  18. In the AL, there is only 1 team farther out of first place than the White Sox are out of 4th.
  19. Schriffen can’t get over that interference call the other night. He has mentioned it at least 3 times today. He needs to look at the bright side. Yeah, it clearly cost the Sox a shot at the playoffs, but it basically locked in the #10 pick.
  20. Anyone else get the feeling when Schriffen starts quoting players, and coaches, and the rest, he makes up at least half of it?
  21. It’s not even June and the Sox are 10 1/2 out of 4th place. Fire this bozo.
  22. Rule 6.01(a) seems to support that: "A runner who is adjudged to have hindered a fielder who is attempting to make a play on a batted ball is out whether it was intentional or not." But a source told ESPN's Jesse Rogers that MLB reached out to the White Sox after the game to say the umpires do have discretion on that play and that interference didn't have to be called.
  23. Maybe it does. Pedros last 7 seasons, 2 partials seasons and already over 200 games under .500. Fire this loser. 15-36 61-101 65-97 74-88 26-34 59-103 58-104
  24. The odds of that play occurring are so crazy, and to end a game? It probably has never happened before, and may never happen again.
