  1. I never understood why you let a guy face someone wh has already hurt him face a guy for the 3rd time at his pitch limit. Pedro late cost them a run.
  2. He needs to clarify it because it potentially alienates a lot of their customer base. Who he chooses to clarify it with is his call. When I heard it, I wondered if he was referring to someone of my ilk who is very dismayed how the rebuild went and with the current status of the team. I wasn't totally offended. I just thought it was pretty odd.
  3. I think it’s been blown out of proportion. He shouldn’t have said what he said especially when it made what clearly is an awful team 5-22. You get called an easy mark when you suck. Schriffen did the exact same thing on the broadcast when discussing the upcoming roadtrip. Sox just swept Tampa so going there was a big opportunity for wins. All that said, it was just some stupid comment after a nice win. He seems pretty harmless.
  4. Please dont give Getz any ideas.
  5. I have been a White Sox fan since I was 4 years old. Dick Allen "retired" from the White Sox on my birthday when I was a little kid, and it ruined the entire day for me. I had full season tickets around 20 years and partials about 8 or 9. The White Sox suck. I don't go to games anymore. They deserve all the crap they are getting. I don't mind John Schriffin. I even like his Stand Up deal. But he got in over his skis calling anyone out for criticizing or just laughing at this team.
  6. So you say don't take baseball so seriously and cry about people making FUN and JOKING about how bad the White Sox are. The one taking this too seriously is you. The White Sox suck. That cannot be denied. Some of us can still have fun with it. You seem to be so concerned with Cubs fans having legitimate rips about the team.
  7. I think what true White Sox fans are sick of is bad baseball and a bad organization. This isn't what we were promised. The good news or bad news depending on which side of the fence you stand , is very few heard Schriffin's diss. The team was already tuned out not a month into the season. Bad teams get made fun of. That's life. If Benetti were still with the White Sox and Schriffin go the Tigers job, don't you think he would be amazed at how bad the White Sox happen to be? 6-25. It's really unbelievable. What is it going to take for the White Sox to deliver on their promise? A couple billion for a new ballpark?
  8. I like the line, but it would be really great if the Sox, were good. Now it's like an epic bat fip after hitting a homer into the first row of the bleachers to trim the deficit to 9-2 with 2 out in the 9th. No need to call anyone out when you are this bad.
  9. Keller walked 2 in less than 2 innings the other night. Pedro talking about having to clean it up, well clean it up. You've been saying this for almost 200 games. Either you suck or the GM sucks or, most likely, you both suck.
  10. That and Benintendi missing the cutoff man cost the Sox another run. I thought they were going to be prepared. Still miss cutoff men, still can't execute a run down any better than a Little League team.
  11. Pham and Mendick in the line up. This is a lock.
  12. At this point, there really is no reason to want the Sox to lose unless you somehow are going to make some money on them being as godawful as possible. . The organization isn't going to be embarrassed, at least enough to make significant changes. They won't gain draft position. The 10th pick is probably already clinched. Might as well win occasionally and be a little entertaining.
  13. The must be very proud at 35th and Shields.
  14. I rip Pedro all the time, but taking him out there was an excellent decision. No reason risking something with even the slightest fatigue at this point.
  15. Hater’s gonna hate.
  16. I’m hoping it’s just trying to keep him good at this point. Maybe there was one earlier, but it was Katz and not the trainer. That’s a good sign.
  17. And if they ever built the whole plan, it would only get larger.
  18. He's not bad, and he's in a really tough spot, a rookie at this, lacking some baseball knowledge and a team's performance that hasn't made it easy. He's a little too gung ho for me at present, but I can see why he would be.
  19. John Schriffin would call him a hater.
  20. Iowa won 10 games last year with an offense that no team in NCAA division 1 history, ever won more than 4 games in a season. Obviously a great defense, but a lot of it had to do with the punter.
  21. Crochette as Ozzie calls him, is due for a good one.
  22. I agree, and it is contrived. But , for some reason,I still like it.
  23. I just think referring to a lot of the fan base who sat through years of losing for a failed rebuild and had to sit through 101 losses last year and a 3-22 start as “haters” when they reached 5-22 now 6-22 is a bit much. I hope it’s all peaches and cream from here on out, but we all know it won’t be.
  24. Nice to win a few.
  25. It amazes me a team wants to alienate their fans for being upset the t are 57 games under .500 the last season plus during their supposed championship window.
