  1. The hysterical thing with the Mayor is if they approved this Bears thing, there would be no bonding authority left for the White Sox. The Bears would build their new stadium, get all the revenue from any event held there, and the extra park space Brandon “negotiated”: that’s the 3rd and final phase of the project, one that the Bears would have zero responsibility for. It would be up to th states to create that parkland,, and pay for it. It’s not going to happen. See you in Arlington Heights.
  2. If you're going to pinch run for him, why wouldn't you pinch hit for him.
  3. Poor Schriffin couldn’t do a South Side, Stand Up last night with the game on Apple. Give him another chance tonight.
  4. Crowd might be a little weak tonight. I just saw a broken down party bus on the Kennedy with about 25 people dressed in Sox swag standing outside of it.
  5. If the board bothers you so much, why do you post?
  6. 3-22 teams operating like the White Sox currently are operating, are not living in reality. I'd much prefer watching Fletcher put up a .650 OPS than watch Otega put up a .680 OPS. Like you say,, it's probably really unlikely, but Fletcher has a better chance of being able to help the next average White Sox team than any of these dopes Getz is bringing in. This season is already toast. Don't get rid of mediocre young guys for mediocre old guys.
  7. I hope these guys know how to play FAST.
  8. This is so ridiculous, it's funny.
  9. Ozzie calls him Crochette. This move will cost JR probably around the exact same amount it would cost him to launch Pedro and pay someone else. IMO, that would be a better way to spend his limited cash.
  10. It’s standard.
  11. This is exactly where I stand. They suck and will suck, but why let this guy do any more damage.
  12. It isn't a huge amount in the grand scheme of things, but he did give Martin Maldonado $4 million for some reason.
  13. Sox are now 4 games over .500 during JR's 44 + seasons of ownership.
  14. The 2021 White Sox won 93 games with Robert missing 94 games, Eloy missing 107, and TA missing 39.
  15. 3-22, 0-7 trip, NFL draft taking headlines....its a perfect time to whack Pedro. That means it isn't happening.
  16. More flushing, more reflecting, and more learning. This is a tough pocket of the line up.
  17. If you had no idea and just listened to John Schriffin, you would think the Sox were 21-3.
  18. Sheets is the only White Sox on pace for 100 hits, and just barely.
  19. I knew they would be bad, but I figured they would be better than last year. They still have to play 22 under .500 to match last season, but it's obviously heading that way. If they play .500 from here on out, they will lose 90 games.
  20. I dont see the point. If he wants to opt out, who cares?
  21. I think its higher velos. Hard to catch up to gas as you age, and if you can't hit a fastball, you're pretty screwed. Wasn't so bad when guys were throwing maybe 92 and hitters were all hopped up on steroids. Stone was saying how little Jax throws his fastball last night, and he had 97 MPH cheese.
  22. The Sox haven't won a game yet when they didn't score first. Flush ir, reflect and learn. This mid lower end pocket is tough.
  23. They had him on the postgame show saying this. Ozzie said he was right, it isn't going to last forever. The season ends in October.
  24. I don't know if you know this, but he's a legend.
