  1. QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 30, 2017 -> 12:47 PM) Great news. I don't know if it's because he's from Illinois or ISU or because he seems like a good dude but I am really rooting for him. He is from St Joe's in Westchester makes him even more likeable that a football player came out of there.
  2. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Aug 29, 2017 -> 08:20 PM) That trade has the potential to fill 3 rotation spots on the next competitive team. Eases the pain of the Tatis trade.
  3. Hahn is going to sign him to 9 year $60M contract this offseason and he will be in the 2018 opening day rotation and hit free agency at 29 years old. I would use green but I am not certain if I am joking.
  4. The number of NL teams fighting for the top pick should help as they should be playing one another at a higher degree.
  5. So they now feel the need to rush guys. Who does he have to beat out next year? Lopez, Giolito and Rodon are all they have. If they want him in the rotation he will be in the rotation.
  6. Rice is going to struggle this year. The junior will eventually start at QB. Marist is pretty good. I did not see the game.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 22, 2017 -> 02:33 PM) Guys, our very own Dick Allen is famous. This is the giveaway on Thursday https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/900073866474684417 Needs a smoke in the mouth.
  8. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 21, 2017 -> 09:06 AM) I'm just trying to enjoy this season for what it is, it's so far beyond any form of realism that it's time to just go along for the ride. It's not how I would have done it but whatever, it's had fun moments, it's had some good fighting scenes, it's coming to an end in one way or another. I ruined TWD for myself, I couldn't get over differences from the graphic novels and I love GOT too much to repeat that. Going to enjoy this and hopefully enjoy the last books if they come out. I still hate the show LOST becasue of the ending. Makes it easier to stay with the TWD and GOT and temper expectation s from when the show was riding high. I like the sped up pace.
  9. Does the night king know how to train a dragon. That is not a joke.
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 17, 2017 -> 02:49 PM) The Royals will be blowing up their team unless ownership signs a bunch of dudes to ill advised contract extensions. They did that already with Alex Gordon
  11. Baby Bambino or Delmonico?
  12. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 11:53 PM) With Hanson's ego issues, I feel like you'd basically be cutting him by putting him on a phantom DL stint. Put him on the DL until expanded rosters and bring him back 9/1...if his ego gets the better of him oh well. Then see where he fits in next spring.
  13. I thought JR doesn't own the team and if he sold his stake it would not result in new ownership. Am I mistaken. I wonder if at some point KW becomes Chairman and President with Hahn taking over all baseball operations.
  14. My guess Hansen to the 10 day DL
  15. I find greg to be the most entertaining poster on this board. If he is a troll he is really bad.....err good at it? I think he should have his own forum.
  16. Much better chance of seeing the White Sox no-hit
  17. The all star team heading north was a little hookie love the hound though.
  18. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 11, 2017 -> 12:20 PM) A waiver deal with the Mariners would make sense. The Mariners rotation currently is rocking an xFIP over 5, yikes. They just lost their only good starter, Paxton, for 3-4 weeks with a pectoral strain. Would Migo clear waivers? Problem is I don't think he would. possibly would be he's basically replacement level. Can't hurt to try and see if they can grab another lotto ticket for one of them. He doesn't need to clear I think he only needs to make it to Seattle to claim him. Send Seattle all three of Shields, Holland and Gonzo for a couple of lower level guys or AAA fillers to get through the season.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 11, 2017 -> 12:08 PM) Trivia: Q: Who was the last person to wear #16 as a member of the White Sox before the team retired it for Ted Lyons? A: He still thinks they retired it for him.
  20. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 10:54 PM) Leury and Yoan could be a great White Sox DP combo for many years to come if given the chance. This has got to be a thought process for next year. Anderson has no pitch recognition ability never has had it at any level.
  21. Coop will fix him.....if he needs fixing
  22. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 11:50 AM) In his chat today Dave Cameron said that if the Yankees make the wildcard game they should start Chapman and have the bullpen pitch the whole game and save Severino for Game 1 of the ALDS. I'd love to see that happen. Buck Showalter thinks that is a dumb idea.
  23. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 10:00 AM) @theaceofspaeder #Reds Joey Votto: Last 350 games: .329/.458/.581 .434 wOBA 172 wRC+ Last 195 games: .351/.462/.624 .448 wOBA 179 wRC+ How is he still in Cincinnati?
  24. In 1575 plate appearances in the minors he had 68 walks. I have nothing more to add about the current mindset of Tim Anderson but his inability to draw a walk is not new. Why he is batting anywhere other than 7-9 in the order is beyond me.
