  1. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 03:09 PM) It's for 6 year olds, as someone said. Keep me out of this. The first few rows on the glass are for cub fans, sorry ss2k
  2. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 01:37 PM) I've sat 2nd row 200 level right on the red line. It's basically hockey heaven. I prefer the 300 level to almost anything (top rows are good) in the 100 level due to sightlines and atmosphere. Years ago I sat 5th row 100 level because a friend got free tickets, and I absolutely hated it. Literally watched half the game on the scoreboard, puck comes back our way, you can see the offensive zone in front of you and that's about it. It's brutal. I had season tickets from 1994 until one month before Johnny Toews was drafted, center ice, 10th row, 300 section. They were great seats. Man did I waste some money and then bailed at the wrong time. In 1994 seats were $25. When I got rid of them they were $20
  3. Do these two rotate every week?
  4. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 12:44 PM) Except you can't see through the glass, it's all distorted. And if you're behind a net, so you can see the whole ice, you can't see the other end very well at all. I guess there's got to be a reason scouts prefer to watch the game with some elevation, even as high as the press box, instead of right on the ice. That or none of us have any idea what we're looking for. About 20 rows up is the best look in my mind. The glass is neat if you are 6 but other than that the back rows of the lower bowl and the 200 level is perfect.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 09:25 AM) I still can't imagine anyone would give up anything of serious value for him. I pretty much expect him to remain "much more valuable to the Sox over the next 3+ years than he would be in a trade". He has the kind of arm that should be able to throw an inning or two every day out of the pen and then go 6 for a spot start. These guys are not needed as much in the AL as the NL but I think there is some risk/reward there.
  6. Axelrod actually has some use as a swing starter/long man to a contender, especially with all of the early season weather games coming back into play here shortly. .
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 08:17 PM) That is what people are suggestimg. Thinking drafting in the top 10 is a guarantee to get good players is hogwash. The Sox drafted Aaron Poreda 25th in the first round in 2007. Do you know that 4 of the first 8 players selected in that draft have lower career WARS than Poreda? Many here think Gordon Beckham is a bust. He was the Sox pick in 2008. Did you know of the first 46 selections of that draft only Buster Posey and Brett Lawrie have highrt career WARS than Beckham. Losing really sucks. To think it pays off down the line is a hope not anywhere near a guarantee. Shut your mouth the top of the draft is rebuilding utopia. Just ask Jed, Theo and that scout that came over that is on the radio weekly to tell everyone how great the the cub farm system is. Baseball is a crap shoot. ACES ARE LIKE PRO BOWL QB'S YOU DO NOT TRADE THEM!!!!!! Sale is a building block and what you trade for, not what you trade. He is a proven ace. An ace allows you to get 4 .500 pitchers and still be competitive, if you hae average hitting
  8. Flowers and DeAza
  9. How is parker not even in the game. That was Ventura style game management.
  10. Great no call there, awesome defense.
  11. Players, not pitchers, do not seem to progress in this organization.
  12. Rios and Crain currently could turn into some real special players on the trade market.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 09:17 AM) Giving a bit of history it was because Fathom had an unhealthy obsession with the Cubs that kept ruining the regular baseball thread. For that reason it was separated to its own thread so we didn't have to hear about the Cubs were going to win sooner than the White Sox for the last 10 years or so. Fixed
  14. I honestly do not care what they do but if they simply dump players to reduce salary, I will not renew my ticket plan next year. I am talking about the Ray Durham type trades. I understand youth movements and trading guys at the deadline but if they trade Crain for a player that is four years away and not highly thought of that is when I get ticked. I do not get a refund for watching this horses*** team try and hit a baseball.
  15. How is a team that is unprepared to play not the managers fault? There is no game plan for hitting at all.
  16. Hawk has yaz, edzo has the long change and sticks on the ice Hawks look sloppy
  17. Stars need to play like stars.
  18. Should really be five. Nice game.
  19. For some reason I think the sox win this game.
  20. Iwakamura could throw 200 pitches today and the White Sox would still have not clue on how to go about hitting him. They went from making good contact to having no chance.
  21. How does one break a rib and not know about it?
  22. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 04:50 PM) Crain has very overwhelming STUFF....One of the better hooks out the pen in the game & an above average fastball. OK then Axelrod is a very very very poor mans Jessie Crain, that better? My point was not about how good Jessie Crain is, it had to do withe fact that if Axelrod is jerked around you lose nothing long term while Santiago had plenty of potential when he came up that is being jerked around because the White Sox do not knwo how to use him.
  23. This inning seems to be about the end of the charade that is this game.
  24. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 04:43 PM) A poor mans Crain?.....WHAT? Crain is one of the better relievers in the game at the setup position. A right handed pitcher that relies on control to get batters out. He is not as good as Crain hence the term poor man's. They do not have overwhelming stuff but seem to be very good at what they are doing.
