  1. I sit in the third row behind the leftfielder and I can tell you without a doubt that Wise gets terrible reads on balls. He always takes a step back before coming in which is fine but he did it on a pop up to short. Maybe he isn't used to LF. While I am not a Swisher fan he should start in LF as there is the potential for him to do somehting. He should also bat second.
  2. The word I used for the blackout last night was ominous I think that's how it is spelled. I left work to go to the game and did not bring anything black in the mornign as I was not aware of the plan. I had a navy blue jacket and gray shirt. I felt left out but oh well.
  3. Farmer was on with Steve Dahl and he said that last night was the best Jenks had looked since 05 and he was throwing that hard. Mauer also said that Danks was throwing harder than he had even seen him. A little blackout goesa long way.
  4. TBS graphics are amazing and have been for years. I watched the 8th from the concourse on HD I believe and it was great .
  5. QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) why wouldn't we need to win tomorrow? Because they could play tomorrow and not have to win to play Tuesday and the way the brillant 3 day rest thing is going I'd rather have a fully rested pitcher going Tuesday then to rely on the atroucious bullpen both days. Oh and the best game pitched in the last week and a half was by Richard.
  6. As dumb as this sounds if the Sox don't need to win tomorrow I'd like to see Richard pitch. No real reason why, I just would.
  7. Gotta go Thorton/Dotel then Jenks and then see where they are at from there...hopefully. I don't think they can bring Buerhle out for the 7th.
  8. This offense sickens me.
  9. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 10:18 AM) Greinke isn't pitching against the Twins. and Lee isn't pitching fo the Indians Here is the line-up I would throw out there for all four (hopefully 3) games and say get it done you are all veterans Swisher-Cabrera-Thome-Dye-Griffey-Konerko-Ramirez -AJ-Uribe Bullpen for all three games Dotel - Thorton - Linebrink - Jenks, that's it.
  10. His comments were right on the money and I hate him and Swisher but they are true. This team seems to want to sit back and let what happens happen they do not force the issue. That's about all I have to say about that.
  11. Sorry to post one thing in this thread but the offense has cost them for this series and for the month. It is down right sad how they shut down and let a team scratch back in.
  12. What is Ozzie Guillen's career record?
  13. I HATE NICK SWISHER but i'd bat him leadoff tomorrow.
  14. A good team beats nathan tonight. He has nothing.
  15. embarrassing night for wise or hero
  16. Swish will ground to second or K for us
  17. Was ozzeroo watching what defense can do for a team. Wow.
  18. Talk about being on top of everything in an at-bat.
  19. Does Nathan look really nervous almost shaking.
  20. This season will be in the tank because of the inconsistency of every hitter on this team making over $1M. Every one of them has been absolute s*** for longer periods of time than they have carried the team. OC AJ Dye Thome Konerko Swisher In September when they needed someone to step up they have wilted. I do not recall a single game where the offense outslugged a team, maybe the Angels game but that was 6-5. If a pitcher gives up more than 5 runs, the game is over.
  21. Sox have never seen this guy. He'll throw 8 pitches to get of the inning.
  22. IMHO, KGJ and Nick Swisher do nothing better than Brian Anderson and Brian Anderson does things better thna both of them. Carry on. Oh and Ozzie is not having a good month either.
  23. I said yesterday the score ofthe games would be 7-1 Twins 6-3 Twins 4-2 Sox I am sticking with it.
  24. I give up. I really liked Vazquez and defended him but he is a .500 pitcher in a career that has over 200 decisions. This season showed me that he can pitch lights out when there is no pressure on him but on a good team he is a really nice number 5. He is somehting like 11-14 with an ERA that is not impressive on the season. Why Danks was pushed back and he put on short rest to pitch last night was a terrible baseball move from the delicate genius that is Ozzie Guillen.
  25. The next three games were why the White Sox got AJ, Cabrera and Swisher and to an extent Dotel. These were the fired up emotional guys that were taking the team to the level that the mild mannered Dye, Konerko and Thome did not in a rah rah kind of way. Seeing as Swisher is not even playing and Griffey fits the Konerko mold, I am not really sure what to expect the next three games. This team could be the hammering team of the June series or they could whimper out. I think they will lose 7-1 and 8-3 in two of the games but will win one 4-2.
