The problem with the number 6 pick would be Angelo is better at drafting later rather than early. Would you trade Lance Briggs for Michael Haynes, Curtis Enis, Rashan Salam, Cade McNown, Marc Columbo, yada, yada, yada. I do not see the Bears making this move by the way unless there is experienced talent involved.

Carlos Zambrano is a true #1. One of very few in the game. He will get $20M a year. I also think he would come and play for Ozzie for a discount. Anyone that does not want him for any reason other than the cost is jaded by their hatred for the cubs.

Therefore the platoon system against tough lefties is Hall and Konerko every game and either AJ or Thome sitting. He needs to knwo what he can and can't do on his own. Diving for a ball in a blow-in in the 9th inning to "try and make a web gem" doesn't show much common sense but I guess the effort was good.

Let's rant for an early Sunday. So the Sun-Times can't rip the failure of Floyd as Garcia isn't anything at this time. Will they in true Sun-Times fashion admit that maybe Williams was right and compare the ST stats of McCarthy to Masset and Danks as being legit to evaluate the trade at this time. Probably not, they will run a story on how young pitchers are rushed. That's all I got to say about that. First off, I love that they are going ot use him to pitch every fifth day. THE FIFTH STARTER THING MEANS s*** HE IS AS LIKELY TO FACE A NUMBER 1 THAN A NUMBER 5 AS THE SEASON GOES ON!!!!!!!!!! God I hate the 5th starter term. I like every guy going every time that are due. I think in the grand scheme of things this helps all ofour pitchers. Second, I gotta say, he looked good, let's hope. Lefties in the Central have success and there are a ton of them. Finally, I think Pods starts the season on the DL and they blame the cold weather as both Perez and Anderson can make the team. I also think they may try and go with ten pitchers one being Haegar and see how it works...... Put a gun to my head, BA is going to AAA. Oh and I bought tickets for his first scheduled start. Santana will most likely no-hit the Sox so no beer shower that day.

Ed Farmer is beside himself that this game is still being played. Is the field literally underwater? Are players floating away and being removed on stretchers as they hurt themself?

Rooting for Brian Anderson to play centerfield for the 2007 White Sox is like rooting for Ron Santo to make the HOF. Not sure what that means but it made sense to me and sounded good when it popped into my head.
