The End of the Big Lie
I believe apathetic is closer to the truth than pissed and harder to overcome going forward.

“Adversity is an education” and Sox not the 2018-19 Royals

What They Need - Hahn Type Ideas Only*
*aka bad ideas. Bring back Leury in the #3 spot to spark some hitting.

Updated: Losing Streak Watch - Historical
Currently at 7 games. Sox record 15 AL record 21 MLB record 23 It's a long way to go but the lack of give a s%*#, offensive, and bull pen makes it all possible. They really don't need much to go wrong. Just keep playing like the past couple weeks and by the middle of May it could be a historic season.

Are the 2023 White Sox the worst Sox team you've ever seen?
Watching those early 1970s teams on fuzzy, snowy, UHF channels maybe clouds my judgement because I see this team's s%*# in high def 4k.

2023 Book Thread
Someone should write a story of the 2005 to today White Sox. Maybe compare it to Bed Bath and Beyond or Enron

Theo Epstein anyone?
You don't hire a GM you rent their luck.

Somewhere Leury is laughing in his beer.

Record Setting Possibilities
Dare to dream. If they trade some starting pitching it's within reach.

The Pedro Hire
JR please hire a guy who in his last gig led a team picked to win their division to a 69-93 record eleven years ago to be our next manager. Bonus points if he can piss off major sections of the fan base. Checking the usual list. You won't be bidding against anyone else, he is an ex player, and drinks a lot.

4/25- White Sox at Blue Jays, 6:07
I started a thread. 15 consecutive losses is the Sox record. These guys could break it.
-
Record Setting Possibilities
I think this team could break the record of 15 consecutive losses. I think they have the offense and bullpen, two key ingredients, to make that happen. I am worried about Cease tossing a shut out in a 1-0 win.

2023 Catch-All Thread
The only redeeming point is Hutchins' husband is involved in the project.

2023 Catch-All Thread
My thought was well. I'm not certain that finishing Rust is tasteless or a tribute.

Five players you would keep to build around
The guys many want to keep are the same guys that fetch the most in a trade and the most likely to not sign another contract with this team.

The Pedro Hire
Can you blame Tony for last year and not blame Pedro for this?

Kenny Williams speaks...
You can smell them all the way down in Arizona.

Kenny Williams speaks...
Sigh. Why do I stay a fan? I'm not in Chicago, I could have declared free agency as I entered Texas. There are the Astros and Rangers here. So easy to follow. I don't even have to check the current standings to know they are doing better.

2023 Catch-All Thread
Only he knows with 100% accuracy his culpability. I was talking with a buddy about a show we were doing. We had an actor in a show I was doing bring a real gun instead of the cheesy prop they gave us. (Several cast members all contacted the producer and he was instructed to never again bring in.) But it was during that show I realized I handled the prop differently than I would have a real gun. I couldn't bring myself to point it at anyone. I wonder if a veteran actor like Baldwin would have had that same hesitation. If so, I believe he was 100% certain it wasn't a live round. After the restart they invested in 100% replicas. I hope that becomes the industry standard so this could never happen again.

Who we selling before the deadline?
And please Kenny retire, Hahn get promoted, and hire someone to oversee the rebuilding. It's the best path that is within reason based on the long history of front office moves.
-
Who we selling before the deadline?
Get them healthy and sell. Everyone. There are no players left who could help in four years.

Stages of Grief - Avengers Style
There are some franchises that you just shouldn't give up on until the all star break. This isn't one of them.

Stages of Grief - Avengers Style
I know it's only April but this season has died. I'm at acceptance with a garnish of apathy. The team has taught me to work through this quickly, I've had about forty seasons of practice. Looking ahead to the next time they are competitive I'll be retired and full time traveling. I can do a road trip with them. It will be nice.

Sox @ Blue Jays 6:07 CT
It's like after buying a new car, that moment when you have to make the first payment and think what the f*** did I do? Only this team could make him miss KC

Didn't Stone call him out a year or so ago?
