See I split the above into two posts because one was so gosh darn heart felt and I didn't want to taint it with my tongue in cheek backsided slam to trekkies. that and I get three posts out of it.

Seriously, whatever his name is gave so much pleasure to legions of trekkies with his talent. I'm certain we all will miss him. And I join with trekkies in basements all across America in mourning his loss.

Some localized flooding. Nothing too major. That will probably begin shanging overthe next 24-48 hours as irrigations ditches and storm systems fill. The cotton guys are singing the blues. The crops are ready and if they didn't get them in, they will be unable to harvest for days or weeks, by then it could be too late. Citrus and our salad crops are happy.

very localized power outages, nothing more than what would happen during a thunderstorm. No touchdowns. Basically we are escaping basically unscathed. So far. Knock on wood.
