  1. It seems that at times Bart isn't as fired up as others. Perhaps these trades may light a fire under him. Hell, he may even lose a couple pounds. We still need him to really come around.

no s***.. if we dont come out of that road trip smelling like roses were just plain ol f***ed up......... That's why I married a woman named rose. I always love coming out smelling like a rose . . .

The ability to change the breaks is a great feature. I'm sure he is going to really like it come next April when his putting is lights out. If you want to add one more item a small book See it and Sink It by I beilieve Farnsworth is excellent. A buddy of mine who plays professionally credits it for turning around his putting. Helps explain why he may not be reading the greens accuratly and what to do about it.

So what did you wind up doing?
  6. LOL I think he means on the main menu page the blue/red/green envelopes. first go to your browser window and type http://www.cubs.com you'll be happy. Come to think of it someone should buy cubssuck.com and point it here
  7. There will be a taker. Even if we get a prospect or two to help our system. Remember they have teams to field also, and stands to fill. Now that I live in a non major league city I have mixed feelings when minor league players are traded. On one hand I am really psyched by these moves for the club, I am also sad for the fans that have been watching Ring and whomever else we are giving up for Everett.
  8. I agree 100%. Some of the kids on the board are probably still optimistic enough to believe the build through the farm system b.s. I wish we had gotten even better talent, but superstars near the end of their careers is the game we're playing. The really nice thing is we aren't committed to long range contracts on fading players. Can you say $15 million of Maddux. Somewhere Veeck is smiling. If this blows up in Kenny's face I promise to not lead the fire KW parade. If JM can't handle Everett I will add it to my list
  9. For it all . . .? Well at least the AL Central. We still have a ways to go before we are favorites to beat the Mariners or Yankmees
  10. Evberett instead of Frank. I would rather see Frank playing in his park. Now if we have three, that would really be cool.
  11. I think most fans realized Mark would hit a 8 of 10 spell at some point in this season. Starting slow and a big finish, I think I'm going to like this season. Now if I can figure out how to get an extra week's vacation to get to the Cell . . .
  12. Have we heard when Robbie reports? I'm guessing today so to assure him a great first day I'm taking Frank. My picks never pan out

The fact that people are voting Cleveland at all proves this is one f***ed up poll.

A reliever would be nice but then we may be confused for the Yankees who do this s*** every year. Nice to feel like a winner once in a while. My thinking is the Club really believes we can win something this year. I'm tired of trying to build something for 3 years down the road. with injuries, free agents, etc. that never seems to work. I'm more excited now then back in spring training and I was really excited in spring training.
  15. This would kind of suck but what if our All-Stars were E-Lo and Everett?
  16. Is everybody having fun!
  17. Do you think Andy Salvo will be telling his grandkids how he was traded for Alomar? Not that I'm worried but the Mets don't have a guy named Alamor? Wouldn;t want Kenny to get taken . . . again.
  18. I believe Santana is hot like seven inches from the miday sun . . .
  19. When you have momentum good things happen.
  20. If Chicago fans can cheer Rodman we can forgive anyone and call him "ours"
  21. Willie Harris says "Robbie who?" awesome play we're tossing some glove around
  22. Nice play Jose
  23. After E-Lo we may get Frank but that will be a stretch. I don't see Maggs unless there is a last minute injury and he stays in town. I am starting to hear E-Lo for starter more and more. Great story and he's at home.
  24. One man's trash is another man's treasure. 1,000s of New Yorkers can't be wrong. Let's hope he turns it around being on a winner. I believe he will. This may be a rare trade that everyone is happy in the end.
