  1. I saw a glimpse of baseball in hell yesterday. You only play the 9th and Billy's pitching for your team. We got him, what are we going to do with him? Can he be effective for us? If not, do we annote someone closer and start geting them some experience. Marte? Flash? Hell, if we need him to pitch an inning let's make it the first.
  2. f*** Botch and f*** KW for getting the no talent prick
  3. JM do anything for me to add to the Jerry's Blunders?
  4. I said earlier today that Flash is going to be a big factor in our success for the rest ofm the season.
  5. Just got home and figured the game would be over. Are we lucky to be in extra or did that error bite us in the as, or should we have won this game already?

If we win 2 of 3 from Minny I'm going to jump in and probably, maybe buy my digital cable companie's mlb package. Does anyone have the time-warner mlb package? Are some games blacked out? According to TVGuide online, all the games are shown on my local cable. Before I drop the $150 for the rest of the season, I want to make certain I'm not going to get screwed by having things like Saturday's game vs ScRubs blacked out like on mlb.com Would prefer to not watch the games in a 4x4 box in the corner of my monitor.
  8. OMG did I suck on the tiebreaker. I lose to everyone on a tie. I was thinking a 5-3 kind of game. E-Lo rocks
  9. s*** they'll notice PK before E-Lo
  10. Shouldn't this be locked after the start of the first game?

Now he has KW to really help him
  12. It takes a while for the news to reach the east coast.
  13. I get Joe and Billy confused It's Joe Mays the pitcher ~and~ Billy Mays the pitchman
  14. I don't have a problem with his selection either. I just couldn't believe 1600 miles from Wrigley so much love for the ScRubs. They might have come looking for me if I mentioned his problem with customs.
  15. I'll be at my computer hoping they're not blacked out, with my Cub fan friends on speed dial. Too bad my phone line went down last Sunday
  16. Absolutely the #1 post for 2003! LMAO. It's my wallpaper.
  17. your mileage may vary sorry, obscure reference from another board.
  18. Remember a Yankee is just like a quickie but the guy can do it himself . . .

Be happy you have NFL football. We're trying to get an indoor league. Can you believe there is a league lower than the AFL? We're looking to the IFL.
  20. We got to the game about midway through the brawl. My first words were "who did VanDorp deck?" As I remember the game ended sometime after midnight with hours of penalties. I couldn't even tell you who won or what the score was but I do recall gloves all over the ice. I vaguely remember my dad convincing my mom to let me sleep in and miss half the school day because, well, i didn't get to bed til like 1 something From what i can remember, that game was the roughest i've seen...it was unbelievable The first official fight began :53 into the game. I know because I won the bet. I picked under 1:00
  21. Just a thought YMMV E-Lo has been the sudden surprise that playoff teams always seem to have. That someone who comes out of nowhere and has a career year. I'm beginning to think that for us to contend, someone from our bullpen is going to have to catch fire. If say Flash looked to be a strong 2nd half closer, we could deal Koch for a hitter and make a move. Standing pat isn't going to make it and we're going to have to give up pitching to get a hitter (read not a slugger) My hunch is Flash is going to be a big factor in our season.
  22. I'm wondering if the BoSox would be interested in Billy or even Marte. Seems like we could package something there.

Excellent point. We could use a guy hitting .300+ right now more than a power hitting first baseman.

Hell it would be fun if, for nothing less, than all the viagra jokes. Besides we need another 1st baseman / DH candidate. Can't have too many of those. He's not the missing piece of this puzzle but a nice addition. His history indicates he enjoys a change of scenery. His best year with the Orioles was his first and his best year with the Rangers part II was his first. The only team to dump him after his best season was the ScRubs.
