And all the dead ones on the side of roads. They are basically blind and stupid.

Horrible for Nashville, perfect for Vegas.

The A's are moving to Vegas thread
I spend a lot of time camping, backpacking, hiking and have literally seen hundreds. One state park in particular is loaded with them.

This is that franchises fourth move. I'm taking the position of I just don't care where teams play anymore.

Grifol: DeJong, Lopez, Maldonado are good on offense
What do you think it is that makes baseball harder to master early?

I like this analogy. Like any factory decreasing production time increases profits. Getting raw material quicker from receiving to shipping is important. What I don't like about this analogy is if you believe a team should have MLB ready depth, then it does function as a warehouse.

2024 Celebrity Death Thread
I forgot how good his standup was when he was starting out. His stuff with Steve Dahl was always a highlight.

That was the end of an era. I miss amateur athletics.

Can the Sox field a competitive team in 2025? Or is 2026 or beyond a better target?
We've made our playoff appearance for this decade. 2030 is the soonest we'll be competitive again. https://champsorchumps.us/team/mlb/chicago-white-sox

How's that career as an "influencer" going? You really need better clients. lol I think they will be less disappointing than last year. But that is mostly based on my expectations of record breaking losses.

Why is it okay for the White Sox to use surge or dynamic pricing but not Wendy's...?

Supply and demand gets ugly for consumers. I think one reason we see different reactions is no one is scalping a Frostie.

How to Draw Someone to the Ballpark 2024
I'm going to some games this year. I'll be at a few high school, a college game or two, a couple MiLB games, and probably a few MLB games. Most will be in Texas. I haven't even looked yet but if the team is in town when I visit I'll go. But it's just not a must schedule thing. Plus, for the first time in decades no one in my family bought season tickets.

How to Draw Someone to the Ballpark 2024
Winning will bring back the true fans. They need hearse jumpers because the bandwagon is reserved for parades.

Don't even bother trying to get the generational fans. A quick read here will tell them the hardcore fans are staying away. Promote the visitors, baseball as the All American game. Add some giveaways for the kids. Fireworks, concerts, etc. I hope they can sell some tickets.

I think we all appreciate honesty. "Hey, these guys are cheap and we're required to fill a roster. I didn't pick them, they're the scrap heap of players. My goal this season is to save my career. We are going to lose 100 games and it's not my fault."

Now that TA is gone, what is going to replace the quasi gangsta fist thing players did when they got on base?
You're married to JR?

Nike Fanatics Jerseys
I can't believe MLB doesn't specify materials for uniforms. That's not how most companies subcontract work.

Tim Anderson signs with MIA, 1Y/5M
We usually blame that on the poor coaching throughout our system. Obviously it's impossible to pin this on one thing or he could have fixed in immediately. But most anyone, in any job, will struggle to perform their best when their life goes to crap.
