  1. jeez, can't we wait until at least noon to start these? i'm tired of these starting so early. l l l l l l l l l l l l J j/k Go Sox!
  2. funniest thing he's said in a decade. the organizers only have themselves to blame. next time they should go with someone less controversial than bill cosby. maybe dave chappelle or chris rock.
  3. is this the real lineup? gload is in center? wow.
  4. i don't know. "i'm hanged like a moose." just doesn't sound right.
  5. NUKE THE WHALES! "Gotta nuke something" -Nelson Muntz
  6. rooney and farmer make it seem like every play the orioles make are top ten highlight worthy. if that's the case, wow. if not it's really annoying.
  7. wow, by the thread title i was expecting something totally different. oh well.

you should make a banner instead. banners kick flag ass. is that an olsen in your avatar? i didn't know they were allowed to be more than a six inches apart from one another.
  9. i say we keep him in our minor league system until he holds the record for most minor league home runs (and strikeouts). but no one realizes he has the record except joe and this lady that goes to all the games. the sox should then queitly release him and offer him a coaching position the next spring. later in life, joe will save the world by beating a water fearing alien with the same bat he used to break the minor league home run record. but he will still be considered a bust by most sox fans.
  10. no prob. i wasn't sure if it was a joke.
  11. they are referring to clemens passing steve carlton.
  12. maybe i'm wrong but didn't they have ads all over the outfield walls back in the "olden days". kinda like how minor league parks are now. if that's the case i really don't understand the history argument.
  13. i'd like to see a lefty bat. if konerko keeps hitting i say we trade him while his value is climbing. maybe for a sean casey type player, or for a stellar defensive 1b(lefty of course). i think our offense is good enough to downgrade a bit to balance the lineup. someone mentioned a while ago about konerko's lack of being able to stretch to catch throws. i've been watching him closely since then and i agree 100%. he gets no stretch at all and i think it costs the team on close plays at first. i think pauly is a good guy and a good player but if i'm choosing between lee, thomas, konerko to trade, i trade pauly.
  14. i agree. they went from one extreme to the other. there is no reason why we have to play 18? games against each team in our division. it should be 12 or 14 at the most in my opinion. variety is the spice of life!
  15. yes. that is absolutely correct. it is ironic. championing the correct usage of ironic since 4/15/04
  16. actually, if it is expected behavior than it really isn't ironic at all. definitionally speaking of course.
  17. if that's the case this is going to be a very long year.
  18. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/beanecount?s...on=2004&group=7 take a look at the walks by offense. sox are dead last. :puke
  19. the correct answer is april! apparently the official scorer for the yankees is a huge crede fan, and when he saw this posted he went back and changed the error on jeter to a hit. so joe crede, today is your day to shine.
  20. soooo, what month did you pick? i would have used willie but would have had to use years instead of months.
  21. i envision the day when our whole pitching staff only throws different variations of the cutter, and nothing else.
  22. is shoe using all his pitches today?
