i hope he plays every day the rest of the year.
-
would you seriously keep him just because he can hit the ball that far? he is the equivelent of a pitcher who can throw one pitch a 102mph once every thirty days and the rest of his pitches are meatballs.
-
unless it was all an elaborately planned "you got punk'd" in which case it would highly comical.
-
in related news, carl everett has changed his stance on the existence of dinosaurs after playing with mike jackson.
-
the sox sacraficed having a better relief pitcher than jackson on the roster so he could get his 1,000 appearance or some s*** like that. nice priorities.

spinmaster! what she was about to do was demonstrate what an intern will never do to her daddy while in office.

ok, we actually are on the same page. an apology and a payout is all he can expect, i agree. i didn't get your meaning in your first post. thank you for clarifying.
-
well, i just think that the doctor apologizing is not near enough for the guy to be ok with it. i'm not really sure what you are saying though, because you say you understand why the guy is so upset, but then you are saying there is not much more the doctor can do but apologize. i mean we are talking a woops, you lost eight years of your life needlessly worrying type of error here. i'm not saying it would help to inflict harm on the doctor, but because this is such a huge life altering error he should have to pay for it. yeah a s***load of money might be a small consolation, but it's the least they could do for such a huge f***up. just the whole thing about "yeah there is not much the doctor can do but apologize" and "the money will not get his years back" just seemed a little flippant. it is a huge mistake by the doctor and he should be punished for making a huge mistake.

critic's Doc: dude, remember eight years ago when i told you that you had a life threatening disease? critic: yeah doc, i remember, i went through some really horrible times after i found about said life threatening disease. critic's Doc: well, i feel like a jackass but i screwed up. you are healthy as an ox. really sorry about it though. critic: dude, i am hella angry right now, but at the same time i understand that there is little more than you can do but apologize. critic's Doc: that is very big of you. for being such as stand up guy. here is a large bag of money. critic: thank you for the huge wad of cash. i appreciate it, but i am also aware that this large sum of money can never replace the eight years that i lost, ya know, due to the fact i thought i was dying.

you may have your satisfaction, while you can. you are a dying breed. our master plan of chopping off row after row of the UD until it is no more is already in motion.
-
the only thing that will change is men will piss standing up with the seat down. your move ladies.

they are very nice. personally, though i would not sit there until some barbed wire or bear traps are set up around the wall. as i'm sipping my free kristal and nibbling my beef wellington i would like some additional security from the lower deck riff-raff. perhaps they can even raise the wall to maybe eight feet or so. i just couldn't bear the thought of those "outsiders" watching me with their EYES! the horror. i won't even mention the UD'ers. or as we like to call them in the ritzy seats, the unclean.

IIRC, loaiza was a players selection, not torre's.
-
what this team will do is keep losing until everyone writes them off. then they will relax and go on a little run, climb back into the race and then freeze up and end up losing the division by like six games. happens every year it seems. :puke

i would not put my money on the guy that almost killed himself eating a pretzel. kerry wins after bush knocks himself out after tripping on his untied shoelace. not to mention the whole Segway thing....
-
didn't he go like 0-5 or 0-6 with 4 or 5 k's? i wonder if millar saw that.

Poppy is "right size, wrong shape." besides would you be a happy camper if the sox fired you for "allegedly" brandishing a knife at someone.

So with the trade deadline ending soon, and pretty much every player is going to be sent through waivers. Who are guys that teams might actually not pull back because of their contracts? Is it at all a possibility that Kenny is waiting to claim Kendall off of waivers and maybe the bucs just letting him go? They have a stud catcher in the waiting. This way we gain Kendall and don't lose any players in trade. We just have to take on his contract. I remember not too long ago that some high priced reliever was claimed so that he wouldn't be traded to a rival team and the original team just let him go. Anybody this could happen to this year?
-
don't compare this team to the twins. the only thing these teams have in common is that they play in the same division.
-
the only thing i can see in the way of trading for jason kendall is $$$. with the increase in attendance we should be able to afford him. kendall can be a very good catcher for the next two to three years, which i believe is how many years he is signed through. this lineup needs someone that can consistently get on base at the top of the order. valentin isn't that person, uribe/harris are both unproven. kendall harris R/ Rowand L Lee Konerko Everett Valentin Rowand R/Uribe L crede borch

didn't he flip the bat? i only saw it a couple times but he did put his head down right away. he didn't watch it at all. either way walk off homers are good, very good.
-
just happen to have a fiver in your hand with the ticket when showing it to the lower deck guards. works every time.
-
i think that they should absolutely abstain, preferably their whole lives.
