For those who really want the latest phone just wait for the Motorola Shadow, Im not kidding when I say taht thing is gonna blow your mind with its features. The screen itself is so large that its the size of the Palm Pre, actually bigger, you place the Pre on it and the screen devours the whole phone. Once they get 2.2 on that sucker watch out, but its also probably going to cost atleast $250 when it comes out.

So while reserving some cash and taking in the comments from before and from friends I got it down to a few options in how I want to start my investing. Once I get to $2000 cash that I can invest, Im either going to buy common stock using optionshouse.com or I will buy mutual funds. Anybody have good sources for mutual funds? In terms of good advice, good places to buy them from, etc? Ive heard that since I have so little to invest that a mutual fund would be most beneficial. Agree? Disagree? EIther way, I make so little in interest from my current bank and with CDs offering a max of 1.5% for a year, I feel that I really should invest this money sooner than later.

Thunderbolt, you are preaching a philosophy that would ruin a club in terms of drafting. Drafting for need in the later rounds? C'mon! The best drafting teams pick the best available, end of story. They'll figure out the details later, but if you always of talent in the system those details are good ones to have.

Any advice for a beginner investor? Im looking to invest about $1000-3000 this summer. Ive been using mint.com lately and Im thinking of using optionhouse.com for trades because it is really cheap and the first 100 trades are free.. Any stocks anyone would recommend? Any websites? Any general info? Ive been trying to follow the stock market day to day more often to see whats doing well and what isnt, anything I should be looking for in particular?

Im pretty sure this was just made up by a reporter trying to make fits, or it was the Red Sox or an agent trying to make it look like more teams are interested in him.

FWIW I know someone at work with the unreleased Motorola Shadow (hes one of the 25 non Motorola employees on the trial version), that thing is a complete beast. Huge screen, 720p video recorder, outputs to 1080p, hdmi, the apps created for it now are really cool, fastest phone out htere, except for some samsung phone but thats because the samsung was on 2.2 and the Shadow was on 2.1, once its upgraded the Shadow will be about 10x faster than the fasted phone available.

Watching my former teammate Bobby Brosnahan pitch vs Minnesota in the Big Ten Tourney. He was spectacular my Junior year, was second team All State, skinny and short lefty with some nasty offspeed pitches. Senior year he had tommy john surgery and red shirted his freshman year at Michigan. Great to see him pitching well now. If he can get up to 90pmh by the time he is a junior he will be a very good pitcher because his offspeed stuff is just so good. I had never seen a change up that good by someone in high school. 61k's in 72 IPs, not bad at all for his first year. I will never forget the game where he went 7 IP, with 19Ks. He shouldve had a no hitter but was broken up by a flair with one out to go.

I caved and ordered Red Dead off of Amazon using a $20 gc to help with the cost. Stupid PS3 was $10 cheaper. Now I just need the game and to actually have some time to play it (work, working out, and traffic takes up way too much time). Seriously, there are days that after I finish dinner and the dishes its 830pm and my night is basically over.

Just watched it. Mixed feelings on it, the characters I thought really shined in it, making it a great story that way. But, lots of answers left unquestioned, but knowing that going into it really helped. Even as I type this, the ending is growing on me. Of course you would want to know what the characters end up doing, but at the same time its nice to just let yourself imagine it. Not everything needs to be answered for it to be good.
