Haeger has absolutely no shot at being an above average major league pitcher. Gavin Floyd does. Add to it that Floyd is out of options, and Haeger has one more, and it makes absolutely no sense personnel wise to go with Haeger right now over Floyd.

At the very most, they play well the rest of the season and do get to .500, but that doesn't do much for me, cuz this team needs just a bit of rebuilding.

I'd rather have a 3rd of the payroll placed on like 4 other players rather than spending $30 mill a year on Arod. I love ARod to death, but that's ridiculous to have on the roster.

I would just like to add that two huge positives of this season have been Jenks and Vazquez. And, to completely and egotistically toot my own horn here...I believe I was saying Javy would be good all offseason. I mean, month and a half to go and all, but damn has he been awesome.

I'm really not sure why anyone would really want to bring Podsednik back. It puzzles me. Maybe we all saw Darin Erstad and figured Scott Podsednik wasn't that bad.
