    West Coast guys tend to go back home at some point...but time will tell. He won't stick around for a rebuild if we start trading Lynn Hendriks Graveman Giolito and Cueto. Vera is the only minor league pitcher worth a damn to work with. Maybe Mena. He will get poached by someone.

    If you go back every season from 2001 to 2022, you can pinpoint an exact moment when the tide turned. There are only the 2005 2008 and 2021 exceptions over two decades now...by the same organization that was threatened with contraction in the early 2000's.

    I think Katz will quietly leave when Giolito is no longer with the organization...but will attempt to remain loyal until then unless things just totally go south.

    Feels like a morgue compared to buzz last night...big crowd and the opportunity to close to just 3 1/2. Feels more like a 2014-16 vibe again now.

    Winder has been with the big league team over half the year and then ILed and lost his spot to Smeltzer and Ober returning. He's been really good for a back end guy.

    It's amazing how cancerous Donaldson's effect was...and how getting rid of him completely changed the atmosphere around the Twins' organization. (Yet in NY, they can easily get past his presence.)

    Twins are doing something right when Buxton Sano Polanco Urshela Sanchez and Correa are their "old" players. Meanwhile, the White Sox instead of injecting youth have way too many guys who are on the wrong side of 30.

    Didn't see the Mariners being more of a threat than the Guardians a week or two ago. The idea of sweeping through the Tigers again isn't looking so good anymore either...plus we get their best pitcher in Skubal, even though he's a lefty.
