This number is already locked in for Cuba, Taiwan, and Panama, since they have no more games to play. Cuba allowed 15 runs over 108 outs for a quotient of .1388, Panama had a quotient of .2 (21/105), and Taiwan had a quotient of .2952 (31/105). As it stand now, the Netherlands has a quotient of .15384 and Italy has a quotient of .19753. This makes Cuba a lock to advance to the next round if there is a five way tie, since it has the lowest quotient of any team in the pool. It is mathematically impossible for Italy to beat the Netherlands without Cuba having one of the two best quotients. Cuba basically guaranteed to advance. Italy would be 2-2 and advance over the other 3 teams that are tied 2-2. Things get really dicey for the 2nd place team battle if Netherlands continues to lose to Italy (down 6-1, top of the 7th).
