8/11- Chicago White Sox @ Kansas City Royals - 1:10 PM CDT NBCSCH
His hands are tied by his own terrible decision making unless he gets Cohen's budget. The Sox are $190 million, Guardians at $60 millionish and still have one of the best players in baseball on what amounts to a lifetime extension.

That's somehow...expected.

TLR has only said Sosa has to earn playing time about 100 times already.

Probably tired from seeing his name in all the Avila headlines along with assorted other Hahn-like moves such as Eduardo Rodriguez and Meadows.

Sox 1/11 with RISP. One hit ended up with Zavala hold on a misread.

Guardians now 9~2 in extras. Pretty sure now just 8~7 against Tigers on the season. They also have to take on Toronto in Rogers Center next.

Like more like Tatis landing a jump.

Urgency doesn't exist for these octogenarian Sox leaders and owners.

Juicing? Different ball? The decline definitely started second half. Like Brady Anderson in 89 or whatever year that was...

Harrison isn't even a Top Ten organizational problem right now. But bringing him back next year seems kind of depressing. Almost like doing the same with Hernandez would have been.

Indians' announcers simply can't believe Sox are losing to KC 4-0 with Cease starting the game.

Cueto certainly wasn't convinced. He knows what winning clubhouses look like if anyone does.

30-35%? No way it's over 40%.

Tigers' Houdini defense coming into collision with Cleveland Clutch...something has to give.

Tim Anderson out 4-6 weeks with torn ligament in his hand
Not unlike the game ratings and cultural imprint...what Cubs' Hollywood celebrities are involved this year?

Boycott time (respectfully)
That's if attendance was to fall into the 800000~1.2 million range, yes? Pretty sure that money has never actually been paid out since 1991. More like an insurance clause.

Moncada
It works fine with a Thornton/Borchard situation but not so much for guys like Upton, Cain, JBJ, Hosmer, Myers or Gallo with multiyear contract obligations.

A lot less than Leury Garcia…prices have doubled the last 2-3 years though due to world supply chains/logistics. The original Bill Veeck Exploding scoreboard in the old stadium was $300,000 back in the day.

Moncada
There are maybe 6-8 teams that could afford to take on that contract risk. Dodgers replacing Turner/Muncy would be the most obvious one. The Cubs just went through this with Heyward and even Darvish/Kimbrel. Red Sox have Devers. Yanks with LeMahieu/Donaldson. Angels locked in with Rendon. Blue Jays/Chapman? Bregman/Hou? Mets who just signed Escobar are really the only other choice. Two teams that might take on 35-50% of the remaining Moncada money owed.

Back to Brian Anderson vs. Mackowiak, just a slightly different version.

Tigers fire Avila
Can’t the same be said about all of Avila’s draft choices? If you are wrong 75% of the time in pretty much any job, you will lose it eventually. The one obvious mistake besides numerous FA calls was Jobe over Mayer. In the end, every time Hahn rolls the dice, he loses, doubles down, then makes things even worse somehow.

Fire Rick Hahn
Or Drury. Or Gallo. Do something. At least find a competent defender if nothing else. But no, we already have Engel and Leury on the bench. Also, Elijah Tatis Era is officially over before it even got started in lowest A ball. Brilliant.

8/10 at KC - Cueto vs. Bubic (7:10 start)
See Guardians…with very few veteran exceptions and almost 15 rookies utilized this season. Or Mariners. Or Orioles. CLE made just two trades, giving veterans to the Twins (Leon) and Giants LHR Alex Young) but here they still are with roughly 50 games left to go, in first place again.

Tigers fire Avila
Mickey777 8 hours ago dmazcomp, I had the Extreme pleasure of sitting next to Dave Dombrowski at a Salem Red Sox game when he headed up the Sox. Couldn’t have been nicer! Talked baseball with him for 9 innings interrupted only by him posing for pictures with other fans. He had completed the Chris Sale trade and he told that the white Sox really wanted Benintendi in that trade but eventually settled for Yoan Moncada. One of the the best baseball nights of my life!!! mlbtraderumors.com Figures Hahn would get that trade wrong twice and NOT get Devers, the one true difference maker.
