  1. Now we will run up Sousa's pitch count before we actually need him Saturday. Trust in Bummer I guess?
  2. There's your Chicagoland headline. Not booing Keuchel, Grandal/Pollock, sending Banks out there in a two run game, etc.
  3. Pollock and Harrison were clearly candidates for regression and Sheets was lightning in a bottle like the first seasons for Palka and Delmonico. But nobody expected Grandal to completely fall off a cliff offensively.
  4. Very easily could have had the ball dropping with Vaughn out for the season in a collision due to miscommunication and guys constantly playing out of position.
  5. They're not going to get bailed out by the Tigers and Royals every night. Guess they want Story to pad his stats.
  6. https://w900dk.com/criticizing-the-chicago-cubs-not-on-marquee-sports-networks-the-reporters-show-chicago-tribune/ Uh oh David Haugh. Almost as bad as the Reds' ownership. Laughable. And nobody in Chicago can do anything about their seeming monopoly.
  7. Only 21 RBIs in 7 games for Story...broke Mike Greenwell's franchise record of 18 ribbies in 7 back in 1988.
  8. Well, the Pippen selection, too. Joe Kelly told Red Sox announcers he expects to be out four weeks. Furniture just arrived in Chicago. Hope he doesn't make things worse on his hammy moving furniture around. God knows he could pay someone some of that $8.5 million.
  9. Pretty close to 40. It's almost like you only get one Michael Jordan. Don't expect much else. That's your gift.
  10. That's the Village of Bedford Park to you, pal/buddy.
  11. Martinez 15 for his last 22. 5 5 3 times on base in 2 1/2 games. Almost 35. AJ Pollock closer to retirement at the same age. Same with Grandal. Abreu the only one carrying his weight.
  12. Austin Davis already warming. Of course, they are the only team with more troubles closing out games than the White Sox.
  13. If there was ever a time for a homer...the dreaded pull hook. Badly needed to at least drive in Vaughn there and didn't get the job done.
  14. Ummm...maybe not. This has been the worst outing already this season for Wacha.
  15. If only they hadn't surrendered an extra three runs in the second inning. That Bosley Positivity might be working.
  16. Love him or hate him, Tom Cruise in IMAX Dolby Surround Sound is 100x a better entertainment experience this weekend than tonight so far. Great summer popcorn flick that actually improves on the original while hitting all the notes expected out of a sequel 36 years later (when TLR was last a Sox manager). Man, he is the only one winning the fight against aging. It's not Tony and Jerry or increasingly impatient Sox fans.
  17. That should tell you all you need to know about how badly this season has gone awry.
  18. Without Moncada Robert and Jimenez...not happening. Pretty sure Grandal might now have the worst/lowest qualified OPS in baseball.
  19. They really need to start doing a comparison stat on the basic game info screen of time at bat for each team...just like soccer.
  20. All of our minor league affiliates have played .500 baseball for the last 2-3 seasons? We were talking about torturing Charlotte fans by sending him there. That won't happen. This will be his last appearance for the White Sox.
  21. But we aren't to the 54 game mark when you really have a solid idea of what kind of team you have. "Mercifully for himself Keuchel is out of the game." Red Sox broadcasters with a sense of humor at least. Might have been Dallas Keuchel's last big league start. Stuff just doesn't play in the bullpen.
  22. I think he's essentially auditioning for a broadcasting job with all of his extraneous background/context comments to the media this year.
  23. Back in the day, minor league affiliates would threaten to pull their player development agreements if the big league teams failed to provide competitive teams on a consistent basis.
  24. We can't even make a 2005 comp because all those vets we brought in other than Contreras, Everett and El Duque were close to their primes still.
