More than LA and NYY? Mead said Sweet Caroline does get old and look what happened to him…

Bibee homers #21/22 Baty and Polanco broke an 0/26 slide 2-0 Mets

Makes sense since they already have McGonigle…but also Clark/Greene in the OF and Zyhir won’t stay in CF.

Two other position prospects included, with another Top 100 guy. Guess DET wanted the two that were much closer to the majors, and specifically Ryan, contributing this season...

Interesting the Jays held onto the likes of Bieber and Bassitt…who pitched well last night. Dodgers kept Lauer and demoted Sheehan. Orioles traded Ward/Rutschman but kept Roger’s and extended Y.Cano.

https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/article/dodgers-catcher-dalton-rushing-dealing-with-partially-torn-ucl-status-unclear-as-postseason-nears-154911297.html Sox were also working against the Dodgers here, who interestingly brought back two former catchers into the fold to insure for the loss of Rushing… LAD now without both catchers, Ohtani Snell Glasnow pitching, just got Diaz back as closer. Bubic on the shelf, too.

Doyle did have a 779 ops the second half of 2025, but then everything really fell apart this season…

His wife had a miscarriage early in the 2025 season. Doyle took some time off to spend time with his family, but regrets not spending more time with them. Seven days wasn't enough. However, the off-season helped him a lot by giving him time for his family. “I regret how quickly I rushed back into the season,” Doyle said. “Maybe I should’ve taken more time with my wife, to be there for her and my family. She’s super-extroverted -- the complete opposite of me. But opposites attract. She’s my rock, and she’s a rock star. “The offseason was a good time to catch up on family time and be there…” Rockies' Brenton Doyle Ready to Rebound After Challenging ... We found out at 20 weeks, but it was likely a "silent miscarriage" that she carried for 3-4 weeks before we found out…

Human nature to connect off field issues with slumps in performance, going back to Dunn and TÁ, among many others…Burger, Hendriks, etc. Virtually no information is private anymore with social media, and it wouldn’t be out there without he and his wife making that disclosure.

Should be used to the AZ heat by now…he grew up there.

The legend of Chris Getz now rests almost entirely on Vargas, Colson, Peters/Doyle, lucking into Mune, Luis Castillo returning to form and Cholowsky over Lackey, which I’m still not convinced was the right move (irrespective of one week of A ball at bats). On the starting pitching side, only Burke has made progress, with Davis Martin continuing to implode.

I blame this all on private equity. Just kidding…but PE is probably buying three consecutive World Series titles, and, if not LA, likely Fenway Sports Group/John Henry/Billy Beane, etc.

Someone must have seen Spider Man? Thought it was better overall and a bit more emotional than expected...had some of the same themes as Toy Story 5 about real life friendships and isolation/technology. A little Bernthal goes a long way, though. Have to deal with him in Odyssey as well when it debut in China August14th.

See SpaceX as another example of pure speculation...

If Lioness S3 episode 1 is only 50% accurate about war conditions in the Ukraine for soldiers...good God, what a nightmare
