First Gage Workman appearance. Is this Juan Uribe Jr. pitching, lol? That at least would be MUCH more entertaining...

https://insidethepen.com/bullpen-rankings-season-long.html Nationals are the only team behind the Sox here, trying to not blow a lead against Philly after scoring 4 late to take a 6-5 lead. At least they have Finnegan. Who just fell apart and blew another save, 6-6, lol, winning run on 3rd. WP's winning run in, leaving 4-4 Trea Turner at the dish and still wanting to hit again, ha.

They have maintained all along with Quero was more advanced, but also acknowledged they were much more familiar with him coming into Spring Training. Teel has all the raw tools, but needs further refinement, but he SHOULD be the better hitter, overall.

Well, at least we have the 4th youngest pitching staff and somehow the 7th youngest position player roster in the big leagues. Need that second number to be Top 3 by the end of the year, though. https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/majors/2025.shtml Also down to a .980 fielding percentage, 26th in MLB. Sure, that's not THE best indicator. 23rd in team WHIP, but 14th in BAA, surprisingly.

There's little point to making it a game early when your offense tends to score most of their runs in the first couple of innings and you have the worst bullpen in baseball (maybe not statistically, but talent-wise, at least).

RS/RA Orioles -51, Rockies -72, White Sox -28 Blue Jays -27, Guardians -28, Angels -33, Marlins -33, Pirates -33,

Time to start selling City Connect jerseys and hats again...the unprecedented first-time ever collaboration between MLB and NBA LIKE EVER...in the same city, to boot. What Ishbia's brother can copy this same idea in Phoenix with the Suns/DBacks, although those color combinations just don't work well together, at all.
-
And then the door caves in... Relaxed a bit after getting Yelich out, that feels also like it was a 50% chance to be additional runs after WP. Now Wilson is on the hook for what looks like a likely loss. Which sucks for him.
-
Put pressure on the pitcher by loading the bases, something like THAT happens about 50% of the time, at least to the bad teams in the league with relatively inexperienced bullpens at the major league level.
-
Well...that was, not exactly shocking.
-
huge out there for Eisert...can he get out of it completely, though?
-
It's going to seem obvious they shouldn't have started Wilson with another inning, lol. Yes, hindsight, but you just had a feeling.
-
We do have a bullpen, right? Venable really pushing Wilson here...I guess he's expendable, like 2021 Carlos Rodon.
-
Let's hope we haven't had to start worrying about Schultz/Smith/Taylor, too. Colson collapsing into a walking enigma was bad enough.
-
Robert 106.1 EV on that ball to CF. Eventually he'll start hitting them where they ain't or into the stands when you start to get the heat and wind working together in May/June.
-
Maybe they can just highlight all the concession items and souvenir store trendsetters for 2+ hours...instead of showing an actually-licensed MLB broadcast...? Interview (the few) fans in the stands, or "visiting" Brewers' fans and their various impressions.
-
Baldwin and Amaya must be leading in bunt attempts/fake bunts. Is there some new advanced metric that says playing for a 2 run lead and not big inning at home with the White Sox bullpen is actually a GOOD idea...or is it more the idea of old school/fundamentals and execution-based, sacrifice for your teammates Japanese style of baseball taking hold? The big problem is setting up JOSH FREAKIN' PALACIOS to drive that run in, lol.
-
Walk's as good as a hit. Said 75% of Little League coaches, at least.
-
But can he hit enough taters...? Because chicks dig the long ball, or so Maddux/Glavine claim.
-
Gilbert Eisert B.Wilson The Holy Grail/Trinity of Openers... Brewers up there hacking away like they all have 9:30 late dinner reservations. What's the weather like?

New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab

Or Schiffren...only in the sense of what will he say or do next to make the national sports/broadcasting news? He's like a MUCH less fun version of Bill Walton, who was winking at the audience and having so much fun riffing. -
Norfolk Tides about to be 9-18, suck it Mayo/Basallo, lol... Robert 161/600 With Robert physically at 100% (he's running almost every time he gets on base, and fielding almost as well as 2020), one would think an ambitious GM who has a swing guru might want to jump the line and make the first offer and see if Getz bites (before Luis gets hurt again).
-
13 pitches for Wilson and into the fourth inning...that's crazy.
-
Compare to 2 weeks ago. Progress/ion. And he's playing close to GG glove level defense, which makes him more viable than previously believed.
