Check out the first 2-3 weeks of April, 2014. The average for the three worst weekday games was around 11,000. This year, 13,750ish...so they're roughly 20-25% better than their season ticket base last year...just a rough estimate. No point to look at attendance until the end of May.

Well, knowing that Jennings was supposedly hurting, that eliminates one argument against Rodon being used in that particular situation. Still, theres a huge difference between doing it thirty plus times at FGCU and in the minors (2010) vs. just a "couple of times" in meaningless spring training games.

Auteur...maybe, but that doesnt make it not terrible regardless. Sometimes you just need to tell a great story, like the Russian film Leviathan or a documentary like Searching for Sugarman. In the end, great stories and individual performances always trump CGI driven movies like Transformers (the first one at least had a decent albeit formulaic plot)...or Pans Labyrinth will always trump Pacific Rim.
