Soxfest back for 2025
Pretty hard to celebrate 2005 without acknowledging AJ's pivotal role. Somehow JR will find a way to pretend only Konerko and maybe Buehrle existed. Kind of like not embracing Dick Allen or Frank Thomas when they played for your team but weren't treated well by the front office, KW in particular with the diminished skills clause BS.

Getz feels White Sox are headed in the right direction
Also...sure, you might have a Top 3-5 farm system, but you don't have Garrett Crochet or a semblance of a bullpen, and you have a rotation filled with 4/5 starters on any legit playoff-contending team. There's not a single position player that a Sox fan could comfortably bet $100 or $1000 that they would put up a 2+ fWAR season in 2025...Steamer be damned. If hard pressed, it would have to be Robert, C.Montgomery or Teel.

Getz feels White Sox are headed in the right direction
Not going to give him that much credit for everything wrong he did last year that then needed a bigger fix...or patting himself one back for Venable coming on board. For example, Jake McCarthy was the #11 RFer in the game with a 3+ fWAR. Both Getz and Barfield missed on that one. Then not trading for Keachsall...for, well, reasons. That's a swing of 6-8 victories right there...now having Vargas/Fletcher instead. And finally not getting one of the Red Sox top 3 prospects...usually stars for volume prospects doesn't work more than 20-25% of the time. One positive is not just dumping Robert on the market...at least yet.

Twins looking to trade for Cease
“Saw a video of Alicia Seidler, the one who offended Sheel Seidler (Peter’s widow) with anti-Indian/“purple people” comments and she’s with a son at a Dodgers game that appeared recently wearing Blue and singing Dodger nonsense. This is bizarro world. Something feels real fishy about whats going on. Not to knock you down with the obvious.” gaslampball.com Conspiracy Theory….O’Malley’s (Dodger family if ever there was one) and remaining Seidler’s colluding to suppress payroll and aid the Dodgers, lol. Who knows…maybe they all want to cash out while the getting is good, and before all those remaining contracts start to look really ugly.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
Probably wants out but with a sweetener...lost closer's job last year. Carlos Estevez one of the few other high end relief guys left remaining. Also, Pete Alonso and Max Scherzer looking at Blue Jays...

Soxfest back for 2025
Never seen such a quiet SoxTalk before a SoxFest in like forever...unless they were going to allow that Chicago radio call-in guy who eviscerated the Sox to have a go at Getz.

Cubs looking to acquire Ryan Pressly...might give Astros the juice to bring back Alex Bregman.

Greatest baseball story of the year: HOFer Ichiro #51
Saw Vladimir Guerrero make that same throw at the SAL All Star game back in the mid 90S. L.Walker Evans Clemente Puig Sosa some of the best throwing arms IMO...and Vladdy's dad.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
Padres or Sox will get Kelenic now. Harold will be happy at least. SD should have signed Kepler. 5/$50 or 3/$42.5 million, that's crazy and Preller had a sense he wasn't going to be in their current price range...not unlike when JR told Buehrle to explore Blue Jays' offer.

Twins looking to trade for Cease
There's not interest in the Twins and/or former Sox players here? The Padres are dead in the water now.

Soxfest back for 2025
Trying to spread out the impact on Gameday Revenue without having a legit team to promote...we will see how that turns out. Colson Montgomery Quero and Teel debutss is about all this season will offer.

Twins looking to trade for Cease
At any rate, they're currently in cost cutting mode and he is one of many veterans they might be willing to move. Let's face it, Goldschmidt and Arenado were supposed to drive the engine...but the young offensive prospects like Walker didn't make the needed impacts, either. The main difference is past competitiveness history has created a far more forgiving fan base. But even that has its limitations with modern sports fans.

Twins looking to trade for Cease
Pham was so bad with StL it was easy to completely forget how he ended up with the Royals ultimately. Both those guys disappointed Cardinals' fans. They would probably trade Fedde right back, but JR can no longer afford to pay his salary...

Twins looking to trade for Cease
https://twinsdaily.com/forums/topic/69449-the-minnesota-twins-are-active-in-the-trade-market/ TwinsTalk Let's learn more about a rival farm system since where the Twins are 3-5 years from now is much more relevant than the 2025 season. They have the one thing the Sox are missing...a potential superstar position player in Jenkins.

Twins looking to trade for Cease
Keachsall Talk is far better. (But they did trade DeJong andmBro Pham to KC. There's always an exception to the rule.) Just no trades to Minnesota Detroit/Benetti or the Guardians lol.

Tim Anderson agrees to minors deal with LAA
Former Royal ofc.

Cubs get Michael Busch, Yency Almonte
See NY Yankees for most of the last forty years...seems Corey Seager turned out okay. Will Smith. Buehler was great until he got hurt. Urias until legal troubles. Puig lol. What they do extremely well is finding all those guys like Turner Muncy Kiki Rodriguez Edman and Chris Taylor on other teams.

Twins looking to trade for Cease
Josh Rojas vs. Lenyn Sosa vs. Vargas really compelling...NOT.

Twins looking to trade for Cease
Not DodgersTalk either...but at least they're actually entertaining to follow. Dylan Cease back to the AL Central isn't of any interest to Sox fans? Wasn't he on the team not all that long ago?

Twins looking to trade for Cease
Festa and Matthews are the other possible targets. Twins' fans of course want to move names like Castro or Paddack...Julien another. Everyone wants Keachsall despite the injury. Twins would also be offering QO to Cease so a comp pick assumed. Inability to pay Cease's arbitration salary or Vazquez a go away subsidy two looming questions with the current wait on new ownership.

Twins looking to trade for Cease
https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-rumors-trades-and-signings?t=trades-and-transactions Christian Vazquez as the main acquisition coming back would be extremely disappointing...at this point, SD should be looking at acquiring young prospects and restoring the farm. For Minnedota, that would re install Jeffers as the primary catcher. No way they're going to trade deVrieze or Salas to repair that rotation at this late point in the off season. Might as well trade Darvish to the Dodgers or Rangers.
