  1. Going further, Everett clashed with teammates and opposing players, as well as managers (again, his own and other teams’). It all got to be too much of a headache for the Red Sox and, despite his prodigious production at the plate, they traded him to the Texas Rangers after the 2001 season for Darren Oliver. After his tenure with the Red Sox, Everett continued to spout off on a variety of subjects including the fact that he had homosexual teammates in the past (perhaps even on the Red Sox) and that he thought it was “wrong” as well as downplaying the steroid scandal that was starting to rock baseball. There were also stories of he and his wife abusing their children (before his time in Boston) and a troubling report of Everett threatening his wife with a gun (after his Boston tenure). While he was productive at the plate during his two seasons in Boston, he was also a headcase and a volatile personality who lashed out both verbally and physically. Carl Everett was certainly a troubled man before, during, and after his time in Boston, but no Red Sox fan who was around in 2000 and 2001 can help but remember outright insanity he brought to the team which somehow fit the vibe of those seasons. https://bosoxinjection.com/2020/05/29/boston-red-sox-controversial-figures-carl-everett/
  2. Kremer getting ripped. #3 starter in the current playoff rotation…good luck with that one.
  3. There are just 7 MLB CFers of pace for 2.5 fWAR seasons Judge 11.6 Yankees could use Robert in CF instead Duran BOS 6.6 unproven over a full season Doyle COL 5.0 see above, and Bleday comment below…only 782 OPS Merrill 4.8 would only go for Robert or Crochet Varsho 3.8 (suggested all offseason as acquisition target) Chisholm 2.8 often suggested trade target JJ Bleday 2.6 OAK. How would he perform under real pressure? Surely Rolle Tide would find something wrong with ALL those names but Judge!!! But if I didn’t like Robert asking price would move on to Jazz Chisholm…who has an equally spotty injury history to Luis.
  4. He’s also right on the cusp of 27…statistically, the three prime performance years of every player’s career.
  5. The value of those remaining contract years at arb line values is incredible. Robert can certainly out perform...but there's not an inconsiderable amount of risk for mid and small market teams @ $20 million.
  6. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5437515/2024/04/23/jackson-holliday-orioles-mlb-career-bad-start/ If the White Sox got him...highly unlikely...they'd just manage to turn him into Montana anyways.
  7. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-rumors-trades-and-signings?t=trades-and-transactions Probably a quite similar value to Zach Eflin of the Rays.
  8. and Leyland's kid.
  9. Seems way to low for #2 starter on the market with existing cost control.
  10. https://hashtagbasketball.com/wnba/wnba-fantasy-basketball-rankings Up to sixth overall behind three Olympians…Aja Wilson, Stewart, Collier, 3x3 Olympian Hamby, and ND’s Ogunbowale.
  11. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/steven-wilson/20353/stats?position=P 0.3, 0.4, -0.1 Sox suck/rot settling in…
  12. Well as long as that full salary is guaranteed…if not, no player would prefer the minors unless their family was already rich like Giolito’s.
  13. Wetherholt
  14. Palka Viciedo Teahen Fields
  15. It sounds like Tony the Tiger from Kellogg’s trying to do a bad impersonation of a Spanish accent.
  16. KC 56-106 but totally different vibes around that franchise. Probably as they avoided disaster with Grifol and Gene Watson and their contracts guy.
  17. No happy ending for the Seamen errrr Sox.
  18. Your Aunt Norah and cousin Eddie from Vacation. No Christie Brinkley.
  19. 18 blown games leading to losses. Cut that in half, they’re 44-58 and still right there with nobody in the division.
  20. Leasure wasn't ready after all it seems.
  21. Flexen also extremely valuable to other teams with his 4.95 ERA. Baltimore should kick the tires with the prices on Fedde and Crochet too rich for their blood.
  22. Ex-Dodger Raúl Mondesi free after serving 7 years under house arrest for embezzling millions (msn.com) Excellent candidate for the White Sox front office after he's now "learned his lesson and served his time" Maybe his son can play SS for the Sox in 2025?
