  1. Can just see Greg775 with a sign at game. "Haber is a sabes geek!"
  2. Chris Berman voice "Prime Time Prime Time Prime Time." Travis Hunter can ball. Really fun game to watch. Huge test of the Matt Rhule Era in just his second game in Boulder for Nebraska next week. Colorado is must watch TV with so many weapons at the skill positions. They're undersized have no past run and almost completely wore down one heat but what a debut.
  3. Why would Haber not have MORE say-so when Hostetler was basically called out publicly by JR this week but still has his cushy job with the team?
  4. Scholtens and Santos the case for...
  5. Fine, Val Kilmer in Weird Science.
  6. Of course why would anyone so well-qualified want to work under Chris Getz unless they doubled his current salary...which the White Sox are not exactly known for being generous with front office and managerial salaries (except TLR's second go-round). But it's Bob Nightengale, and a move like that would be bigger than firing Grifol Katz and Boston...
  7. Christian Colon over Chris Sale local product Bubba Starling high first round The first-round selection of the KC Royals in 2011 made it to the majors last season. Three players available when KC picked him have collectively won eight All-Star berths, six Silver Sluggers and two Gold Gloves. Aaron Crow over Mike Trout Then we have Foster Griffin, Chase Vallot, Ashe Russell, Nolan Watson, Asa Lacy, Frank Mozzicato, Gavin Cross and Blake Mitchell. The White Sox look like Robert Oppenheimer vs. Booger Presley from Revenge of the Nerds in amateur draft science. The best you can say is Witt and Brady Singer has been up and down like Michael Kopech...
  8. "There's no one that understands this organization better than I do..."

  10. If he can't hit at least 600-625 ops numbers doesn't matter if he's Johnny Bench or Pudge Rodriguez.
  11. As long as it doesn't come under Portnoy/Barstool.
  12. Robertson and Hendriks isn’t a Sox thing…it’s Hahn. KW only did it for one season when he brought in Billy Koch and it exploded in his face. When those KC pens with Holland Davis Escobar started to get increasingly expensive…that’s when their competitive advantage was lost. Chicagoland saw that firsthand with Davis/Soler and then Escobar years too late with the Sox.
  13. Rodon finally got his second win with the Yankees. Beat Verlander.
  14. Everything goes back to John Schuerholz with Atl. That said ... the Atlanta connection was ALSO Nick Hostetler's biggest selling point. And looking at Royals' drafts the last decade under Moore, Witt Junior has been almost the lone success. A number of pretty high first rounders that haven't even sniffed the big leagues. In some ways...Royals hitting on that run of first rounders in the late 00's along with Sal Perez was almost as improbable as the Sox run of Ventura Thomas Alex Fernandez etc.
  15. Why would Hader sign with a team that would give him the least amount of save opportunities? They’re not going to outpace the big spenders for yet another so-called elite reliever this offseason when it makes almost no sense…even to. The most optimistic season ticket holders.
  16. Remillard is the prototype then…
  17. SMU forgoing tv revenue for some time just to gain entrance to that league… Stanford CAL USC UCLA might as well be on Mars.
  18. Sosa and Lee with such long swing paths…pretty much the opposite of short and quick.
  19. He was expected to have more pop but he’s always been a high ceiling guy due to his position and defensive ability. Certainly was drafted high enough. Matt Manning has also been on a really nice run of late. All that said, the Tigers are 25-15 versus the Central and White Sox-like against the rest of baseball.
