5/6: Sox @ Rays 5:50 CDT: Clevinger day?
At least they didn't guarantee Keith $28.6 million, lol. And we can even extend it lower, Jose Abreu is at .269 and still owed $39 million... With Chourio and Holliday also struggling out of the game, wonder if someone's going to rethink this whole "generational wealth" before ever crossing the lines on a big league field thing. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/what-detroit-tigers-rookie-colt-keith-is-doing-to-snap-out-of-career-opening-slump/ar-AA1o0fOj Maybe the White Sox hitters as a collective also need to block X, Facebook and Instagram, lol...

He's back off the DL tonight against Walker Buehler, returning from almost 2 years on the shelf with TJS. 0/2 so far, .220/680.

Obliques are pretty much the worst injuries a baseball player can ever have...except UCL and maybe deep deep plantar fascia injuries.

5/6: Sox @ Rays 5:50 CDT: Clevinger day?
LF Bad CF Bad RF Bad 3B Below Average SS Average to Slightly Below Average this year 1B Below Average C Terrible with Maldonado, at least average with Lee (granted, he had a mistake tonight) Even WITH Robert and Moncada, they're not currently even an average MLB defense. Btw, .265 .812 Ortiz (MIL)

5/6: Sox @ Rays 5:50 CDT: Clevinger day?
Well, the Rays were definitely not going to lose their fourth game in a row to the White Sox, at HOME.

5/6: Sox @ Rays 5:50 CDT: Clevinger day?
This was always the big concern...if he's not a 3B, he can't hit well enough to justify any other position. Maybe second, but then you have yet another below average fielding and probably hitting infielder.

Just when you thought Shuster MIGHT end up okay... Well, at least we didn't sign Keith (Tigers) to an early extension before he'd ever played. He's statistically the worst qualified player in baseball as of today.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Fedde...? Kopech? The rate things are going, Wilson and Brebbia might be worth the most amongst the relievers. Have to believe Eloy's option is declined...and 50/50 Vaughn non-tendered.

5/5 1:15pm CDT Rubber game in STL, Ramos starts.
Ramos first hit, sac fly, single, RBI...quite an eventful opening weekend.

Maldonado and Shewmake can't be long for this roster...can they? Also, other than the eight homers...Crochet seems to have somewhat righted the ship.

5/5 1:15pm CDT Rubber game in STL, Ramos starts.
Well...they're down to absolutely three terrible hitters and Ramos in the lineup. Progress? Not sure how much is Sox hitting vs. atrocious/horrific Cardinals hitting, though.

Sox/Bulls/Hawks close on Stadium deal
Well, the White Sox must be one of the better "short sell" bets in baseball today...at any rate, not sure how a casino in downtown Chicago being attached would work exactly, but Reinsdorf has certainly ruminated on the combo recently. "Standard General L.P. is the largest shareholder of Bally's Corporation, formerly known as Twin River Worldwide Holdings. Soo Kim, Standard General's managing partner had been an independent director of the company since 2016 and was elected chairman of the board of directors in late 2019.[5] Kim oversaw a major expansion of its operations, including a reverse merger with Dover Downs Gaming & Entertainment to take Twin River public, and various casino acquisitions in 2020.[6][7] It also acquired rights to the Bally's brand from Caesars Entertainment and adopted it as its corporate name, with an intent to unify all of its properties under the brand.[8] The company also made moves to expand its focus on sports betting, including acquisitions in the field, and a partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group and Entertainment Studios to rebrand its regional sports networks under the Bally name as part of a promotion and content agreement.[9][10][11] Kim was named "American Executive of the Year" at the 2021 Global Gaming Awards.[12] In January 2022, Standard General offered to buy all outstanding shares in Bally's Corporation that it did not already own, valuing it at $2.07 billion.[13] wikipedia

Why Beckham? He and Getz are emblematic of the rot.
