  1. jiminez isnt a top prospect anymore...he is the one of the biggest question marks on this team Jiminez is the mad, dude! He is so ready to take over fulltime at second. Last year, in 27 games with us, he had a homerun, 11 RBIs, 22 runs, a .287 BA and a .384 OBP. Those are excellent numbers. He will definitely be starting at second next year unless he screws up horribly in ST and lets Hummel pass him up on the depth chart, which is not likely. 27 sept games doesnt make a guy the next coming of lou brock...jiminez could just as easily find himself demoted to charlotte as he could end up being "the mad" as you say...therefore it makes him a huge question mark...but lets hope you are right
  2. why do you wanna ruin my evening talking about bunbass caballo??
  3. jiminez isnt a top prospect anymore...he is the one of the biggest question marks on this team
  4. My guess is he'll get 3 year 15 million dollar deal. after koch gets a few months of KW under his belt do you really think he is going to sign an extension with us???...3 years at 15 million???...thats less than what foulke got...most of you seem to think he is better than foulke so why would he sign with us for less than what kieth got..ive said this before.. the irony of this situation is koch's agent will use what the sox paid kieth foulke in arbitration to price him right out of our price range and force a trade...KW is an idiot...and it will once again show in this trade...unless koch and his agent are even bigger idiots..which i doubt
  5. Foulke had one bad game in the 2000 ALDS. I'm not calling him a choke because of that. Koch didn't have a great ALDS either, but I just think more often than not, Koch will get the job done, while Foulke will not. their save pct over the last 4 years are almost idnentical...foulke 86% , kock 85% , and both had probl;ems in their last post season...i think that help proves MM's point that koch for foulke was a wash at best for us
  6. Frank Thomas seems to be thrilled about that and its supposedly one of the reasons he's coming back. Although their is no guarantee he will finish his career here. Ray Ray never wanted to get dealt either. true...of course we usually reward loyalty around here with a kick in the koch:mad:
  7. id like to get scott schoenweiss but his agent is scott boras...so nix that idea:****
  8. okay..i had a brain fart:o...its been reported in all the rags that JR saved the day..KW was out of the country...which explain why if KW did the deak it would be out of character for him...thats the last time i give that jag off the benefit of the doubt...especially when i read what he had to say about thomas (cant find the article - but it was in the daily southtown) what a jag bag you know , JR having to step in and keep us from losing the greatest player in sox history (btw , thomas was going to the dodgers until JR steppped in) should be a huge warning sign to JR that KW has to be fired...if JR cant see it after this he really needs to get his sorry senile butt out of hear
  9. nobody ever loses money in arbitration...ever...even styerling hitchcock got a raise after he had a era above 6...if we do offer ritchie arbirtation his agent would be smart to ak for like a 100k raise...ritchie would win that
  10. Whoa HSC and Baggs..... you're gonna take that? :eek ill let him slide...im in too good a moood since we got frank back:metal seriously , byrd or daal..but im not holding my breathe..
  11. hey joey whats up???...and are you stoned:D...i cant make heads or tails of what you just posted...or maybe im stoned:cool:
  12. Didn't he have to pay child support and he couldn't afford it, or something of the type? I thought I read that somewhere...but I agree...I don't know how you could make that much money and then go broke. I sure hope that A-Rod doesn't go broke...I'd personally go up to him and slap him if he did. thats right..it was 5 million a year for child support and alimony...thats just freakin rediculous...there should be some kind of cap put on child support...i mean if frank was ordered only to give them a million a year they couldnt survive???...its like stealing from the guy if you ask me
  13. if the trade was nevin for griffey....for us an equivelent trade would be konerko for griffey..too risky what we should do is go out and sign steve finley to a two year deal...he's is 38 but he still put up excellent numbers last year...25-89 - 297...let him patrol CF...he won a gold glove as recently as '00...trade carlos lee for hopefully a starting pitcher that can fit in somewhere with garland and wright and put borchard in LF with rowand filling the role abbott filled on the '00 team...or if rowand is the CF move finley to LF...jmo
  14. then your choice would be starting pitcher jamey wright...career era over 5 in 8 seasons...never below 4...only one winning season and only one season of double digit wins while having four seasons of double digit losses...there's your man HSC :puke:puke
  15. good eal for ray..thats about the same deal he was asking from the sox
  16. I did read it. I just don't believe Valentine is as good as you think he is. if the A's wanted valentine wouldnt he have had to make their roster and stay on it all year or risk losing him??
  17. moyer said he was thrilled to finiah his career in seattle...how many times have we heard that on the south side in the last 20 years???
  18. a lot of sox fans liked the ritchie trade too...whether you agree with MM's article or not...it was well thought out and raised very good points...too bad he is a liberal:D
  19. borders will be 40 in may and only had 4 at bats last year..he either retired or got injured..which means at 40 he more than likely will retire from the injury..no one wants to rehab at 40:huh
  20. part of this deal also has the sox loaning him a million dollars...so he might be having some financial problems..remember what patrick qwing said???check my sig
