you guys talk about a george orwellian state...but you dems have done more to bring that about then anyone else... what about attempts to refute the 2nd amendment??...you think taking guns away from citizens and leaving them in the hands of the governemnt only wont bring about a police state???..have you seen happened inaustralia when they banned guns about 5 years ago??? you talk about free speech...but which political party is it that was for banning "huckleberry fin" because it contained the word "n*****" in it???... backers of which political party passed laws that prohibited pro lifers from excercisering their rights gaurenteed under the consitiution from prostesting outside of abortion clinics??? backers of which political party outlawed the christmas holiday in the city of eugene oregon , aka the people's republic of the pacific northwest???.. banned any prayer in public school by individuals..and also removed two crosses that were put up as a war memorial in 1946 because they were deemed offensive to non christians?? i could go and on with plenty of examples.. fact is both parties will use and misuse the constiution when it furthers their agendas...whether youre conservative or liberal , blind allegence to either party or to anything for that matter is really unamerican

whoever the other guy is wont be a top prospect because of the rule 5 draft which he could be involved in and then it would have to be somebody else...right??...so whoever the other player is will be compared to mark johnson...and then you compare koch to foulke...so do we really need to wait..it will probably be some guy from class A compared to a major league catcher...albeit not a top catcher

neil cotts vrs. joe valentine.. cotts..age 22...low level A ball...12-6 with a 4.12 era and 183 k's in 127 ip.. valentine...age 22...AA ball...4 -1 with a 1.97 era and 36 saves...minor league relief pitcher of the year.. paint it anyway you want guys....valentine is the much better prospect..both the same age..valentine is two classifications higher up and he was much more sucessful...valentine (barring injury) will pitch in the majors someday... AA ball is the weeding out league..if you make it in AA ball its almost gaurenteed you will atleast get a shot in the bigs...cant say what valentine will do with it but he will get his shot...in low A ball where cotts is at..i would guess about 25% actually get to the majors...

[ hollandsworth would , imo , fill a role that was crucial to the sucess of the '00 team and hasnt been filled since..thats the role jeff abbott played...hollandsworth can play all 3 outfield positions and is a guy that can sit for weeks at a time and still come off the bench and hit...he would be a great addition to tony g on the bench..we would have two solid bench guys that are good clubhouse people.. thats another deal that really pissed me off with KW...getting rid of abbott...while abbott is no longer playing i nthe bigs its becaue he suffered a severe knee injury in tampa..if he was stil lwith us that might have never happened... hollandsworth will probably command about 800k to 1 million in the free agent market...as cheap as we are he probably isnt an option...
