2023: 38 HR's - 80 RBIS - 27 Solo HR's, from a guy that is batting 3rd for 100+ games. Oof. 2024: 11 HR's - 23 RBIS - He has 6 solo HR's and 5 2-Run HRs. There has never been more than 1 person on base for any HR he has hit this season. I would say you are correct sir.

I would agree, if this team was looking at a 72-90 type season. This team is not even close to being a 70 win team, they won't meet a price to extend Crochet, and they wont be competitive while they control him. The only logical outcome is to trade him.

I show his K rate as 21.9% with a walk rate of 18.5%, where did you pull those numbers from? His BABIP is pretty low too, I’m sure part of the low avg obviously.

Just because its baseball, it's incredibly difficult to be as bad as this team has been. Eventually, they'll win a few they really shouldn't have. It seems like we have had been on the wrong side of the majority of those situations so far. My guess is they win 20 and finish 47 - 115

Even with how bad this team has been and is, I find it hard to imagine they only win 12 games the rest of the season.

I know it doesn't mean a whole lot, but according to MLB.com every player they have drafted was either right at rank (Smith) or well before they were ranked.

Well it’s that plus the exposure of college football and basketball the casual person knows what’s going on generally.
