QUOTE (JPN366 @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 11:01 PM) FYI, this season of "The Walking Dead" will be split up. After the next two episodes, the remaining six won't start airing until February. That's a good way to drive away an already weary fan base.

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 12:47 PM) We'll see, I hope so. But this was a team built for Mike Anderson's gimmick now under a new coach, in its first year. It's an awkward time for the team. They are experienced, no doubt, but the only real positive i see for them is a terribly weak Big 12. I thought even with a new coach they could be a top 15 team until Bowers went out. They were already thin in the front court before that plus he's their best player in the first place. I'm 50/50 they make the tourney. -
Still a game today, but for the most part the hitters were quite poor all things considered.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 16, 2011 -> 07:50 PM) The f***ing battering ram thing comes in at the end and just tears through everything, and even if you have a roof full of riflemen they don't kill it fast enough. One thing I forgot during my second den defense was the cannon salvo or whatever they call it. Hold L2 on your target area and it does decent damage on the last wave. I was getting my ass kicked and then a pop up mentioned it and I thought 'oh well now you tell me.' Saved me just in time.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 16, 2011 -> 07:19 PM) My Amazon review of AC Revelations: http://www.amazon.com/review/RWTTGFH4RUYS0...=&linkCode= More or less what I think of the game. Though, through various improvements in combat you don't need to counter at all anymore. I just go in swinging with the hidden blade, mix in a few kicks if needed, and chain kills together. I only counter when in the middle of a string and I notice the attack in time. The den defense is f***ing annoying. I'm doing whatever possible to avoid those, which really slows me down having to bribe multiple heralds to keep your notoriety low. I loved running around Rome and rebuilding all the shops because it was fast, easy and involved lots of free running to go to the different places. Now I'm forced to do that slowly because I want to keep my notoriety down to avoid the annoying den defense. Most of the reviews I've read have either mostly or totally ignored multiplayer, which I believe is now the most fun part of the game. Multiplayer is improved and I'm enjoying it more, which I never thought I'd say.

LOL Heads this was the first and last time I listen to you on betting advice. General rule in Vegas is if you think you're missing something, you probably are. -

Hey look at that, the US won a game. How good was Fabian Johnson today? Geez. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 09:19 AM) The fact that while dangling and freaking for his life after the fountain breaks this dude was able to lasso our zombie friend is stupid enough, but also they showed the group gain at least 10-15 feet on the ground pulling the rope up, while Glenn isn't being raised at all within the well. Ha I did notice that. WTF was that about? That's some awful editing. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 10:07 AM) My guess is that the zombies in the barn are the family members they lost. Simple writing from simple writers. The more I think about it, the more I think this is actually possible, but I still doubt it. There was a line last episode from Rick saying that Herschel wanted to handle the walkers. I think something else is going on. Maybe experiments?

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 14, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) They're doing a piss-poor job of that. Even I can admit that as a fan of the show. The majority of the characters are shallow cardboard cutouts of characters. I think the characters are each one emotion personified and it's not giving them enough range. Daryl is the only character not in the comics so maybe the writers feel like they have to follow the comics. The problem with that is comic book characters always have exaggerated traits to get the point across in a couple sentences of dialogue.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 14, 2011 -> 12:13 AM) I have hated Andrea the whole time, she is the biggest b**** on tv. Yeah this is ridiculous. Something good needs to happen soon or I'm going to bail on this show quickly.

I'm very curious to see how TCU does in the new Big 12. They have to do at least as well as A&M has. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 06:03 PM) Boise State actually lost this game but the refs just kept them alive on an atrocious pass interference call. Yep. It's a shame TCU couldn't just finish him on the sack. Not surprising the MWC would rig this game though. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) Michigan should probably be up 28-0. Letting Illinois hang around Yeah, but they got a break there. That was one of the all-time worst drops. -
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 03:15 PM) And I would think it'd take at least a year to set up an entirely new coaching staff and "front office", for lack of a better term. That depends. If Penn State had to literally start from scratch they would certainly have a hard time making good hires, but they would do whatever possible to not shut down the program for a year. There would be plenty of people that would love jobs on Penn State's coaching staff. They could make hires quickly, but they wouldn't all be good ones. The first year would be rough with a lack of recruiting and all new coaches, but unless the NCAA tells them they can't play for a year (which would be unprecedented) that's never going to happen.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 02:55 PM) Not sure where you heard that. As of now they are eligible and without LOIC I dont see how they could get a ban. If for some reason they give it to them, this year would be a good one to take it. And I hope today costs Fickell his job. WE have young talent and this is a perfect time for a new coach. I didn't hear it obviously. I haven't followed it, but I figured they would get a similar penalty to USC. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 02:42 PM) The leaders division could get real ugly pretty easy. Penn St could easily lose the next 2 (OSU and WIS) OSU could lose at least one more (MICH) WIS could lose one (IL) IL could win out (MICH and WIS) PUR could win out (IND and IOWA) 5 teams, 3 losses each. What a mess. It certainly is a mess, but in what world is Illinois winning out in those two games? -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 02:34 PM) The streak is ova. Wisconsin should end up in the title game. Is Ohio State still eligible? I thought the Buckeyes had a postseason ban this year. -
Glad to see I wasn't the only one watching this game just to root against Penn State.

Duke just got bailed out by an absolute chuck by Andre Dawkins in the final seconds. They were up one in the final minute with the shot clock winding down and Dawking let loose on a prayer that went in. Oh by the way they're playing BELMONT. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 11, 2011 -> 02:20 PM) I don't get all the Kristen Stewart hate. I thought she was good in Adventureland and excellent in The Runways. She will also be in On the Road. Never seen any of the Twilight stuff though. Haven't seen Runaways, but I'll give you Adventureland. However, I'm pretty sure she was playing herself. The character by design had no range and little personality. So yeah, she nailed boring and shy.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 10:15 PM) Danman, It goes with if Paterno was 30 years younger. The guy just cant fight this, its so completely out of the guys character, and from the reports there is no allegations that Paterno failed to report some of the abuse. That would be where I think youd have to fire him, if he knew about things and didnt report it. But under Pennsylvania law, its the duty of the school to report once Paterno did. So there really is no reason for him to believe that another person in his school was going to break the law. If a teacher at a school tells a Principal that they think they see some one with drugs, the teacher then doesnt call the police to double check that the Principal properly investigated. It just stands to reason that there was a proper investigation done. Paterno was not even called to any other meetings. It doesn't matter if he legally did anything wrong. You don't have to commit a crime to fail at a responsibility of your job. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 10:22 PM) Rioting That's good...the students rallying outside his house was bad enough, but this is really not the image Penn State wanted to add to after this mess.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 09:56 PM) This really needs to be put in perspective. Brian Kelly's direct action caused the death of a student, he is still coaching today. There was no talk of ND death penalty. Its crazy how people swarm and want to destroy a guy. That's a good point. One that has been made by a number of people (on here even). Kelly could be fired and I wouldn't think it was wrong, but maybe that goes with your 'if Paterno was 30 years younger' argument.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 9, 2011 -> 09:19 PM) Just turned on ESPN and saw it. Glad someone came to their senses. This was the only acceptable outcome. Agreed. He didn't deserve the forgiving title of retirement. Penn State's board is doing what they can to restore the image of the university. Everyone at PSU is treating him like the Pope. This is unacceptable behavior and they need to show they agree with that.
