  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 10:27 AM) Anyone notice that the banner above section 102 has fallen down? I liked them versus the flags at first, but now seems like not such a good idea. I noticed that too! I like the idea, but they need to secure them more.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 09:59 AM) Hopefully Santana cramps up ala Zambrano and can't pitch against us I don't think what Santana is doing will hurt his wrist as much as what Zambrano's "addiction" hurt his. :rolly
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 09:50 AM) I wasn't sure if it was, or wasn't. Now leave me alone NEVER!!
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 09:45 AM) Responding to SS2k5's comment.. "I wonder if the sit lets his mind wonder, and his intensity lapse. " Something that happens to those with ADD. VRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.... Thats the joke flying over your head, Steff.
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 07:50 AM) Jim has a 2 handicap and can not hit a 90mph fastball. It's apples and oranges. He's golfing with apples and hitting 90mph oranges?? Weird guy...
  7. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 08:52 AM) He struck out the first batter he faced yesterday and then went to go relax for ten minutes before facing his next batter. That's it right there. He should have a long talk with Mariano Rivera during the all-star game on how to keep yourself ready and motivated for a 2 inning save. I think we forget Bobby made his ML debut just one year ago.
  8. I love these old Hollywood murder mysteries. There is something so classy and seedy about them all at the same time. Ben is portraying actor Geroge Reeves, who played Superman on TV in the 1950s for quite a long time. His death is still unsolved. Did he commit suicide or was he murdered? Orginally this pic was called "Truth, Justice and the American Way", that was a bit long. I'm not sure i like the title "Hollywoodland" any better. Funny side note, I guess DC comics won't let them use the Superman symbol. Ben in Tights!
  9. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 08:05 AM) Hey, I was there too. Remember watching the Tigers kick our ass? Ahhh, memories. Big Cecil spanking Blackjack... Ah yes...I remember it well...
  10. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 08:20 AM) From pitches 1-15, Bobby has 31.1 IP with a 0.86 ERA and 1.05 WHIP From pitches 16-30, Bobby has 6.1 IP with a 8.53 ERA and 1.42 WHIP So yea, it would seem that way. Although these are pitches, not innings pitched, which makes it a bit different, but still shows the same point. However, doesn't it make sense that if he's throwing more pitches, his ERA will be higher because he will have let more runners on, which is why his pitch count is higher in the first place? Or am I talking gibberish? I think it has to do more with intensity. He gets himself all geeked up to go out and close. So after he finishes the 8th, there an adrenaline let down while he sits in the dugout waiting to go back in the 9th. He's young, that pacing will come soon enough.
  11. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 07:11 PM) Looks like a fair amount of "replacement parts" on Mamie.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 07:00 AM) That's it boys drop the hammerdown. 10 more hours to go, GET AJ TO PITTSBURGH@!!!! We got a long way to go and a short time to get there! Let's put the pedal to the metal and the thing to the floor! I love quoting Smokey & the Bandit!
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) WTF Juan? Haven't you seen everybody walk? Have to score more here, Pods. 10th guy to bat. Chill out. I'm giving a pass to the guy who has 17 rbis in his last 7 games.
  14. Ah no one in Hollywood today could hold a candle to Sophia in her prime! But, for the over 70 set, 50's bombshell Mamie Van Doren is 75 and she's holding up rather well:
  15. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) I vote for Fransico Lriano once, and than AJ 5. Lriano than AJ. AJ makes it- cool another Sox player gets in Lriano makes it - the AL gets the games hottest pitcher to win the game. :banghead Just vote for AJ.
  16. QUOTE(MinnesotaSoxFan @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) I have 2 for the 27th... If someone wants them let me know. PM sent
  17. Why do we have two threads on the same subject?
  18. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 10:27 AM) Im not denying he's a sox fan. Its just seems that towards the end of last year he all the sudden was like the Sox greatest fan. That and he has s*** movie reviews. Again, he has written about the Sox for years. I have seen him at the game a hell of a lot of times before last year.
  19. "And I for one welcome our new insect overlords!"

  25. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 09:37 AM) Him in jail wouldn't have paid their bills... Regardless, thoughts and prayers are with his family. They weren't the crooks. True enough
