  1. I had a problem with my Sirius radio... So I'm sitting and enjoying my commercial-free, uncensored broadcasts knowing that the Playboy channel will now be "on the air". The previous day I registered on-line to receive the station. So there I am sitting in my underwear, drinking a beer and when I turn the radio to Station 198...nothing. It says I must register for the channel! I did already! So I call the number on the display. My phone is now covered in suntan lotion. The guy says it'll be on in five minutes and thanks for registering. 5 minutes and two beers pass and nothing. 10 minutes...nothing. 15 minutes...nothing. I call back, a bit angry and they tell me there must be a problem and to check back tomorrow. Needless to say that was the worst drive home I ever had from work.
  2. Iguchi and Taguchi hitting in the 2 hole! That's just fun to say
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 10:34 AM) Shocked it took you 35 minutes.. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) PLUSHIE PATROL!!!!
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 09:59 AM) This thread is for people here to talk about their experiences with companies that they have interactions with, and either like or don't like, or would like to recommend to other people. For example, if you have a problem with a cellphone company, and want to advice people not to use that company, share your story here. Did you have an excellent experience buying a car at your local dealership and want to share it? Do it here. I have a problem with my newspaper not covering the White Sox more...
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1J7d2ssc3Y...echanic%20steal I'm so glad I know enough about my car to check some of this stuff out. Also helps that I have dealer service which is covered on my warranty. Bunch of assholes. If people need to go to a Jiffy Lube I always say just get the oil change no matter what they claim you need. Any other tune-ups, etc you should go to a trusted mechanic or the dealer.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 09:51 AM) Ding. Winner. If this were TRUELY an effort to bury the White Sox, the effort by the TribCo would be INCREASING now, as the Cubs have fallen into the toilet, while the Sox are world champs. This is a crucial junction at which we could be witnessing the transformation of Chicago from a Cubs town to a Sox town, and yet the Tribune is theoretically helping out the Sox by publishing more of their stories in relation to recent history than they ever have done before? No way. There would be more of an effort to slander the Sox, as the Cubs marketshare is being challenged for the first time since the early 90's. Now why would the Tribune all of the sudden be MORE interested in the Sox, at the expense of their own team? Profit motivation. They see more dollars on the table, and they want them. Stop trying to bring facts into the equation... QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) My counting the number of stories over the past few years has proven nothing? If you think my system proves nothing, then my thread is probably of no interest to you ....... What do you propose Jim, I sneak into the ivory tower and wear a wire? Use the same parameters that newspaper men use... Size of columns, picture count and content.
  7. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 08:53 AM) Despite Winning the World Series in 2005, and having the 2nd best record thru the 1990's, the SOX find themselves lagging far behind in media newspaper coverage to a team that, since 1990 has ZERO 90-win seasons (98 doesnt count), and since 1950 has only THREE 90-win season Um...why doesn't it count? Because you say so? They had 90 wins that season. One game playoff or not...it's official.
  8. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 07:53 AM) I forgot that one...
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 09:14 AM) Myspace is for creeps and people who lack social skills IMO. I agree!! You read more about my thoughts on www.myspace.com/ribbierubarb It says I'm a 14 year old girl, but that's some kind of technical glitch.
  10. I know I'm going to get burned for this but to me the best show on TV is Veronica Mars Intricately plotted, extremely well-written, witty, clever, suspenseful and with great performances. Sometimes it has more happening in one episode than most shows in their whole season.
  11. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 10:01 PM) LOL, this thread has taken a GREAT turn. I can't wait till Steff sees it. I predict one of these will make an appearance: or

  14. QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) With Pods having his best season last year and starting to decline, and also in a contract year is there a shot of letting him go for....Josh Fields in Left? This is only good if Crede signs long-term...what are the chances? Don't we have Crede under contract through 2008? As for Fields, you have a better chance seeing Pablo being our starting LF next year.
  15. My first day at work being able to listen to Howard in my office.

  17. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 12:49 AM) Why the Tigers are not number 1 just boggles the mind... Part of it is that they are 3-10 against Us, Red Sox and Yankees.
  18. We won right? Sometimes one cannot tell from the posts...
  19. QUOTE(shoota @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 11:52 AM) I'm not a fan of AL and NL teams adopting the other league's rules when they are the visitor. I propose that no matter which team is the home team during interleague play, the AL should keep its DH rule and the NL should keep its pitchers bat rule. This rule change should apply in all regular season interleague games as well as all All-Star and World Series games. Dude, every thread from you is a gem!
  20. I'd rather have Earl Weaver...
  21. QUOTE(The-Legend-Of-Pujols @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 03:45 PM) Carlos Marmol will be better than any Sox pitcher in a couple of years you can bet on that. I HATE the Cubs because Im a Die Hard Cardinals fan but Marmol is my favorite pitcher in the league because he has a cannon for an arm and is so poise and has a great curveball with an upper 90's fastball. Carlos Marmol will be the Rookie-Of the-Year. ::coughcubfancough::
  22. In related news The Wiggles to start doing daily Iraq War updates!
  23. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) I love Hawk and DJ. They are really beginning to develop some nice chemistry.
