QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 04:41 PM) Scott Drew sucks and anyone that hires him is f***ing stupid. He cheats and still can't win. I'd like him out of the Big 12. Not that he could ever win at Hilton, but I'd like Baylor to suck again.

2011 White Sox closer
I want Matt in the closers role until there's some sort of proof that it shouldn't be that way.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 09:39 AM) I would agree with him. Is it because his delivery is very over the top?

For all you NIU fans, in his last game, Jake Anderson dropped 33 in a losing effort for Iowa State against Colorado. We'll be back next year.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 07:36 PM) I meant coaches, not Dingle's and Jok's. Save those dreams for night time But seriously, it looks like Tech will have the basement to themselves next year. But it will be fun to watch. Is Gillispie a realistic contender?

3/6: ST Sox vs Royals
IIRC, we had the worst ST record in 05. Not concerned until April.

I have a feeling about the Sycs this year. Also, I wonder if Bobby Lutz will be interested in the Bradley job...

So do I need to set my keepers as my top 5 draft picks?- Official 2010-2011 NCAA Basketball Thread
Korie Lucious officially transfers to Iowa State, signed his financial aid agreement. Also, ISU pops another bubble tonight, beating Colorado 95-90. I don't mind f***ing over Nebraska and Colorado at all. Let's see if we can continue the streak of beating teams Texas loses to beforehand with a game at Kansas State.- Soxtalk Keeper 1 Thread

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 1, 2011 -> 08:22 AM) I think the Big East, Big Ten and possibly ACC will be better. Kansas will lose the Morris twins, Texas will lose all their bigs, K-State is losing most of their scoring and the big 12 is mostly out of the top classes picture (except Texas) It's not like Kansas and Texas are magically going to suck. I'm talking about the overall strength of the league next year, in which you're looking at: Kansas Texas Texas A&M Mizzou Kansas State Baylor Iowa State Oklahoma State Oklahoma Texas Tech If Tech or Oklahoma show any shred of improvement next year, it's one of the toughest top to bottom. And yes, Iowa State too, but I'm relatively confident that they will be improved next year - #16 ranked incoming class by someone when transfers are included.- Official 2010-2011 NCAA Basketball Thread
The Big 12 is gonna be a tough f***ing basketball conference next year.- My White Sox Hat Collection
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 07:06 PM) I LOVE my replica 1926 road cap. It's the one I always wear if I'm meeting someone ive never met before at the ballpark because I can tell them to look for that hat and when they find it it's pretty certain they found me as well. [/bad chris hansen joke]- Jake Peavy Thread
The Sox are hands down better than any team at keeping their guys healthy - when our guys go down, it's usually a freak occurrence - I'm going to trust the Sox to handle this. I'm also planning on JFP being ready for opening day until I hear a reason that he won't.- Guns on College Campuses
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 23, 2011 -> 01:08 AM) Grenade free zones. Anywho, I'm TOTALLY in favor of concealed carry, but guns on college campuses is downright stupid. I'm not exactly sure what the benefit of guns on campus is.- Starting Rotation already set?
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 20, 2011 -> 09:49 PM) For schnitz and griddles Buehrle's FIRST start of the year (so not technically opening day, but I'm pretty sure his only non-opening day start was 2006) 2002 - 6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 5 K (W) 2003 - 7 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 1 K (L) 2004 - 6.2 IP, 8 H, 3 R (2 ER), 1 BB, 1 K (ND, Sox lost) 2005 - 8 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K (W) 2006 - 4 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 1 K (rain-delay halfway through, hence the lack of innings...Sox won) 2007 - 1.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K (ND, Sox won) 2008 - 1.2 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 1 BB, 1 K (ND, Sox lost) 2009 - 5 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 3 K (ND, Sox won) 2010 - 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K (W) Totals - 46.2 IP, 41 H, 19 R (18 ER), 14 BB, 21 K Average - 5.1 IP, 4.5 H, 2 R, 1.6 BB, 2.3 K Peripherals - 3.47 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 2.7 BB/9, 4 K/9 I would say that the notion that Buehrle has been a bad opening day starter is way overblown. In fact, I would argue that, outside of 2 starts, he's been exceptional on Opening Day. Damn you and your evidence.- Isn't It Amazing How Easy It Is to Keep Rabid Fans Happy?
