  1. i know that some players go to japan from the bigs and do better.. and some go from japan to the bigs and do worse.... however, some go from japan to have a lot of sucess here... he did have a break out year in 2004... a good year in 2003... and hit some what decent/OK at other times i think this is what might intrest us: "In his eight-year career with the Fukuoka-based Pacific League club, he hit .271 with 149 homers, 507 RBIs and 159 stolen bases in 894 games. He won the PL stolen base title in 2001 and 2003 and is also a four-time All-Star." id be intrested to see/hear more about him and why his production has been up in the last 2 years. no way do i see the sox or any other team offering him something like kaz matsui got

  5. everyone says hes injury prone... ive just heard about one injury that required surgery and should now be a thing of the past... what else has happened? is it illogical to think that if he is fully healed and that was the only injury hes had... that he really isnt as big of a risk as its made out to be?

  13. ok, you add that to the fact that he plays his balls to the way... nose to the dirt.... is a spoken leader.... has helped a team win in the playoffs.... hummmmmmm.... whatda u think now? i rest my case, no futher questions your honor.
  14. u know his carrer numbers vs LHP? for future refrence, where do u find stats like these and what was whillie? like .170?
  15. ive watched eckstein play for his entire carrer ive always hated him because he is such a good player and a good leader... with a huge heart.... all great things.... if he was on the sox all along, i would have loved him.. but going to see the angels play the sox and seeing this guy get the most rise out of the crowd... work his ass off on every single play... and bring life to the other players/crowd was a sigth to see.... all angels fans LOVE this kid.... hes honestly like the rudy of baseball his numbers dont indacate how valuable he is. just out of cursity.... what are his numbers vs. LHP....anyone? peace -t

i didnt even see it heh
  19. i dont think i would give the helm to gload, i think that with the loss of maggs, lee, and possibly hurt for part of the year... we need pauls bat more then we would need the couple of wins more vasquez might give us vs. garland.

wow, i forgot that we had that rotation going into 2004... eek... i cant believe how much better our pitching staff is now
  21. i dont think its silly at all to think that all 5 could get at least 10... you said JC would get 9... thats only 1 away from saying all 5 would have double digit wins kind of a contradiction? i see what your saying, but i think your not giving the count enough credit... thats cool thou, he'll suprise the hell out of you IMHO.
  22. yeah, theyd be robbin the band.... and we'd be gettin it up the tailpipe... your a cool guy and all, but what you wrote deserves the :dips*** award nothing personal, just my dips*** take on it.
