Get a Thinkpad if you feel like spending a little extra. Otherwise you'd be best off getting the aforementioned Dells in the Inspiron series. Get a Latitude maybe if you want something a little less bulky. Dual core notebooks are supposedly on the way. I'm not sure of the price range or release date, but the performance tests have been very impressive. I say hold off for a bit because the performance gains should be huge (basically two processors in your laptop for close to the price of one). http://www.notebookreview.com is a good site for finding reviews and the latest coupons for any notebooks.

I started blocking Google ads with Firefox AdBlock as soon as they started distracting me. Looks like Google has also caught the attention of the meatspace advertising industry.

I thought this thread deserved more attention. I've had this sitting on my desktop for a few days now and I can't help but watch it every now and then. The game and music from The Thin Red Line (or Pearl Harbor) give me chills. I also never noticed some of the irony in some of the PBP statements. Around 1:52 in the video they say "Illinois can not panic" yet numerous three's rained down in order for us to just tie the game. Around 1:58 you can hear them talking about how the Illini offense is unbalanced and shooting too many 3's. That I found most interesting since it would be their eventual downfall against UNC. That and a no-show by Augustine.

Yeah I remember it came out a while ago. Basically just new rosters with the same old annoying gameplay.

Honestly, where is the Oriole organization headed? They get twice bit in the ass with the whole Palmeiro/Sosa thing and they're just looking to throw away more money on sluggers. Are they ever going to bother developing a real pitching rotation? I know they have alot of hitting to compete with in the AL East but didn't anybody learn anything from the White Sox? My money is on the Nats reaching the playoffs first before the Orioles do again.

Frank has got some years left in his upper body, just not too sure about his legs. I really think he needs to hit #500 now to find his way into the Hall. I don't care where he hits it and he'll still always be a White Sox to any baseball fan.

This show has to have the most tragically flawed characters of any I've ever seen. That whole bag scene was like mixed laughter/disgust the whole time. I can't wait til they wrap up this whole Carver thing but what are they gonna do after that? I hope the writers have figured out a pretty damn good replacement.

You'd probably spend alot more time getting a free pop out of it than just working and earning the dollar yourself.
