  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 08:44 PM) Lol. I initially read this as Gaby Sanchez and nearly had a heart attack. Nothing to get excited about here. Hah, me too.
  2. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 08:37 PM) Wanna hook a brother up? Hah! I am still going to use it, because I can watch archived Sox games, just not LIVE.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) Ummm...MLB.tv? You can buy almost a whole year's worth of that with $65. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 08:12 PM) He's probably like me. I'm in the blackout area on MLB.tv for the White Sox, but I don't get CSN here locally. Yep, I'm blacked out. Hell, I have a free month on MLB.tv because I bought MLB The Show, but I still can't watch the Sox play.
  4. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 07:37 PM) Why is Ozzie flip flopping Milledge and Lillibridge in the lineup? Millidge lead off last time they both started a game. This scares me quite a bit. I'm actually worried that Ozzie prefers that extra "versatility" from Lillibridge now that he feels like he has to go with a four man bench. I will be so f***ing pissed if Lillibridge somehow makes the team over Millidge. Maybe seeing how Lilli looks in the leadoff spot vs. Milledge?
  5. God I hope it's not snowed out. I am driving 200 miles home from school just to watch my team on TV on opening day! I will be very pissed off if I wasted $65 in gas and 6 hours of driving for nothing!
  6. Has Konerko starred in a commercial since his one is like 2004 with Zito for ESPN? The only other one I can think of was back quite a few years ago where he was on like a bus or a train, and the devil and an angel appeared. 2003 maybe?
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) He would literally have to be hurt for them not to pick it up. I've also yet to see any real indication that Buehrle actually wants to pitch in St. Louis (like recently). He's really only indicated that he's a Cardinals fan. It's too far into the future to speculate. At this point in time, I would give Buehrle a 1% chance of pitching in St. Louis next year, a 94% chance of pitching in Chicago, and a 5% chance of retiring. I'd say 20% Cards 70% Sox 5% Other team 5% Retirement
  8. Rios-Dunn-Konerko is my 3-4-5.
  9. Anyone think the Battle of Millbridge will last until the last game of spring, or do you think Ozzie will want to make a decision by the end of this weekend so he can go with his normal squad for the last week?
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 04:00 PM) They'll pick up the options for Carpenter and Wainwright - they'd be insane not to. They aren't going to be able to trade Lohse, and they aren't going to trade Westbrook to bring in a pitcher who may not be an upgrade at a more expensive price. In other words, I could hook up with whatever hot celebrity you can name, but it's not going to happen. I wouldn't say it's insane not to pick up a $15M option on a 37-year-old pitcher with history of injuries. Especially if it's in exchange for a 33-year-old pitcher who will cost millions less, and has been the most durable pitcher in baseball since his career started, AND grew up as a big fan and has publicly stated his desire to play there. It's far from a sure thing.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) No it won't. They have Carpenter, Wainwright, Garcia, Westbrook, and Lohse all under team control next year, and only Garcia is cheap. My guess is that Buehrle either resigns with Chicago or retires. I think he'll end up resigning with the Sox regardless of how they finish this year at around $10-12 mill a year on a 2-3 year deal. Cardinals do hold a $15M club option for Carpenter, and a $9M club option on Wainwright, and could trade Lohse or Westbrook, so it could happen.
  12. The Wisconsin game ruined me. I had 3 of my 4 Final Four teams until that game, and now I only have Ohio St. and Uconn left, and only 1 of 2 championship teams left now.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 03:20 PM) St Louis is not going to sign Mark Buehrle. Period. If they resign Pujols, they don't have the money. If they don't they have no reason to invest in a player of that stature as they are going into rebuilding mode. And if they fail to resign Pujols, then they are going to have a lot of extra money to spend, some of which could be spent on Buehrle.
  14. QUOTE (The Critic @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 03:41 AM) A first-round series against Detroit would be preferable to one against Vancouver. A first-round series against ANYONE would be okay by me right now. I don't know about that. I'd rather play Vancouver, and make Luongo cry AGAIN! We've eliminated the Canucks the past 2 playoffs, right? Detroit is a bigger rival, but I like how the Hawks seem to have Luongo's number in the playoffs.
  15. I would just like to point out that going in to the season, I predicted the Hawks would finish in 7th or 8th. My prediction is still looking solid, even though I'd like to see home ice advantage of course.
  16. Good story. I never knew it was a fan voting. Of the 6, I agree with him that his and the one w/ the diagonal stripe were the only good looking ones.
  17. I realize that Dunn has nothing to prove, and shouldn't risk injury, but I really feel like he was going on 40% on each of his 2 groundouts today, and both of them he almost beat out because the shift had the defense so deep.
  18. Sale dominated the inning. 2 Ks, and got a lazy pop up to LF.
  19. Humberger did alright. What you'd expect out of a 5th pitcher. Just had 1 bad inning really.
  20. This game isn't on ESPN3.com? Awwwwwww damnit.
  21. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 02:43 PM) is this NL rules or AL rules? i see a DH in our lineup and a pitcher in theres Garza is DH'ing for them as well.
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) Stalberg with a goal on the line with 19-88. Who needs Sharpie? Stalberg.
  23. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 12:22 PM) Love that everyone is ripping off the Old Spice commercials now. I think i've seen 10 different companies using that style. That new Dairy Queen commercial is the most blatant rip-off I've seen. The guy even sounds like him.
  24. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 12:16 PM) I did too. I especially like the taxi cabs that will take you anywhere you want to go. Saves tons of driving time. Currently I'm finishing up The Ballad of Gay Tony and plan on playing The Lost and Damned next. It's interesting to re-play some of the missions from the original GTA IV from a different perspective. For me, the bicycles in San Andreas were really fun. I loved cruising at like 30 MPH and bunny hopping over cars.
  25. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 11:20 AM) That's weird, I can watch the MB/Hawk one, but when I try to play the AJ one, it doesn't load. Where did you find it? I still haven't been able to locate. EDIT: Ok, I found it. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_...50&c_id=cws
