QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Mar 2, 2011 -> 03:16 AM) I will not buy an MLB game until they stop making you pitch with the right stick. Welcome to MLB The Show 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 2, 2011 -> 04:27 PM) By 6, do you mean 3? Bruney gave up a hit in the 4th, Cofield one so far in the 5th. At least that's what Gameday is showing. | | | \ / QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Mar 2, 2011 -> 04:31 PM) He means 6IP from our starting rotation. 2 each from Floyd, Buehrle, and now Jackson. Yes.

6 IP of hitless, scoreless baseball from our starters.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 1, 2011 -> 04:36 PM) I haven't paid attention too closely, but have there been any flyballs towards Viciedo? Yes, Viciedo ran down a ball in the corner in the 1st inning. Nothing Jermaine Dye wouldn't have gotten. -

Nice job Viciedo! Throws a bullet to 3B to get the runner. Not the most accurate throw, but close enough. -

The Bridge looked like he was considering flipping that ball to Escobar to finish the play. -

Fausto Carmona is now..... Carmen Faustonia -- Bill Melton -
Peavy apparently had another good session today, but got tired in the last 15 pitches or so. Still on schedule for Friday, and the biggest thing I am looking for is the velocity. Hopefully he is hitting the low 90's or so on Friday. Don't really care if he can't hit his spots or his pitches are flat, but that velocity is my biggest worry.

QUOTE (SnB @ Mar 1, 2011 -> 02:37 PM) to watch an early spring training game on the internet? At least start drinking or something. I'm only a social drinker, plus I have no booze in my dorm room currently. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 1, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) Nope. If he goes 1-5 with an ERA over 6, which is most likely depending on Peavy, I'll still talk s***. If Kyle McCulloch was in the running for a rotation spot for the Twins and their pitching coach said something like, "Well, that McCulloch has impressed and has caught our eye" this entire board would laugh their ass off. Like I said, this is fluff time. Everybody is in the best shape of their lives. Everybody is upbeat. Everybody has something to prove. Yawn, yawn, yawn. Humber is a joke and the game(s) he starts will be the stuff of Soxtalk gamethread legend. No, I would probably say "Damn, that would suck if the Twins were able to get through to him and not us". -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 1, 2011 -> 12:41 PM) So if Humber (or any of the automatic loss AAAA guys) wins a single game this year, does that mean you have to shut up about it? Lol, I sure hope so. -

Milledge LF Vizquel SS Dunn DH Castro C Teahen 3B Viciedo RF McPherson 1B Lillibridge 2B DeAza CF I'd rather see McPherson at 3B and Teahen getting some 1B time, but I guess they want Teahen to get as many reps at 3B as he can. Also, Castro hitting cleanup! You know he is going long! -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 1, 2011 -> 11:31 AM) It would also help if you had the potential that made you a first round pick, but then again that is just me. I agree. The fact that he was a former 1st RD pick at least tells me he has shown dominant stuff at some point and he has the ability to do well. -

QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 09:06 PM) Missed the game (stupid job...) Was Floyd tossing any curveballs or just fastball/changeup? Only curveball I know of landed on the batter's foot. I didn't see/hear the game, but gathered that just from reading comments.
