Who was the most reviled current Sox here
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to Princess Dye's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I wish I knew was reviled meant. -
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 04:29 PM) Mark Teahen GDIP to end the inning. Do you think if he doesn't start hitting come regular season, ESPY won't be tweeting as much? Probably. ESPY will probably just run away from home.
-
Teahen, GIDP. Ho hum...

QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) On fielding a slow dribbler at first, he just looked at the bag for awhile and tagged it at the very last second. Yep, he just stood there staring down the runner, then right as Millar lunged for the bag, he stepped on it, and the crowd erupted with boos.
-
I believe Kotsay did it to Millar, and they were teammates for a couple years in Florida, so it's all gravy.
-
Who did Kotsay just do that do? Former teammate, or just being a dick?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 03:33 PM) 2-0 Cubs. Off Lucas Harrell, no wayz!!
-
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 03:26 PM) s***ty player? Based on what, 10 ST at bats? He's underachieved his talent by most measures, but s***ty? Come on. Yeah, I don't, and never though Teahen was a very good player. Nothing about his .271/.325.408 line makes me think he is anything even above average.

XM Radio for old people who don't want their car to look ghetto
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to Texsox's topic in SLaM
QUOTE (Tex @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 03:22 PM) My girlfriend has a new Honda CRV and wants to add a XM radio but hates the look of a lot of LEDs, electronic graphs for the EQ, etc. She also doesn't want to pay $500 for a factory head unit. So far the usual big boxes have yielded no satisfactory results. The regular season is coming up fast and I am trying to help her along. She should have just bought a Honda Pilot, the XM comes built in. -
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 03:23 PM) Mark Teahen might be the coolest, s***ty player ever. Brian Anderson is in the running too.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 03:18 AM) Who cares? Jared Mitchell was a great prospect, other than his speed, to begin with. He's already shown a propensity to walk, he showed a bit power in college, and he's raw enough that he still has the ability to learn. He's f***ing fine. If he loses a year, is it really a huge deal? And if he regains his speed, then halle-f***ing-lujah. If not, who cares? He's still a LF/trading piece. He's still a good prospect. That was something else I was thinking too. At least this is not Jerry Owens we are talking about here where speed is his only strength. Mitchell can lose a step, but still be a 25 HR guy with a solid .380+ OBP, even if he can only steal 10-15 bases instead of 30+.
-
Aww god damnit. This blows....... The only "positive" I can draw out of this is that it gives JorDanks more time to prove himself. He is less likely to get a quick hook and replaced by Mitchell.

2010 Chicago White Sox Spring Training

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 07:05 PM) Lucas Harrell starting. We are making up for the last game vs. them. -
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) Someone commented after the article that he thinks he blew out his right knee . Said he heard it pop. I know its irresponsible to say that prematurely so TIFWIW. Oh god, please don't say that.

So I can kill Lincecum, and now Verlander apparently. Maybe I am just getting better at hitting, but Verlander finished with 4 1/3 IP, 7 R, 10 H. I got a HR by Quentin, and 2 triples by AJ. Yes, 2 triples! (We are playing at Comerica, and he is killing that RCF gap.). I might win my first game ever! I am currently up 7-2 in the 5th.

video or it didn't happen.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 05:42 PM) My imac is lightening fast too. I tried to stream gigs of videos to my PS3 on my PC and it was completely bogged down and always had to be restarted, I had to restart it several times a day. You have a s***ty PC then. There are so many PCs that there are bound to be lemons, but there are also a lot of PCs that are superior and cheaper than Macs as well. You just have to know what you are looking for and don't just buy computers out of a flyer.

2010 Chicago White Sox Spring Training
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to justBLAZE's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 05:23 PM) He's had a little issue with his calf and apparently couldn't find anyone to catch him this winter so he's a little behind. I can't imagine the White Sox wouldn't have been able to find someone for Jenks to throw to. For all the maturing this guy seems to be doing, it just shows he still has a ways to go. Yeah, seems like no excuse to me. Go to any college, and I bet those players would be lining up to catch a major league closer. -
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 05:25 PM) I have simmed a couple of times. What I've noticed. I can't hit a weak slider or changeup, but if a slider has some serious bite, I can knock it out of the park, opposite field almost every time. After ending my first year in AA(which I got called up to AAA, back down to AA, then back up to AAA) the only team to offer me a contract was my current team, the Tigers for a 1 year 80,000 deal. That's wack! Now, I'm just barely meeting my goals, and then dumping all my resources into contact and power. Quick question, why is it that my team wants me to work on hitting lefties more than righties even though my contact and power are 8 points higher(and counting) than hitting righties. Also, it sucks that I put 1B as my second position because now the Tigers are keeping me there at the AAA level even though I'm a better fielder at 3B. Also I still can't keep up for the most part with AAA pitching. Sliders are my bread and butter (when I am expecting them). Change-ups and curveballs kill me.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 04:50 PM) I'm saying it was their .mp3-like format that was unique to them. The .AAC format is considerably less used than the .mp3 format, and it's not even close. I mean, you are talking E-85 ethanol vs. unleaded gasoline.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 04:59 PM) ZuneHD 32gb: $248.54 ITouch 32 GB: $267.99 Itouch has access to thousands more applications that the Zune doesnt, which is huge for me as I use it as an entertainment device, not just one that plays music. More apps is the only thing I can find that the iTouch has an advantage over the Zune HD. The Zune has HD Radio, HD screen, and wireless syncing, all things the iTouch does not have.

QUOTE (earthshiner @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 04:56 PM) why does the box score say Freddy Garcia is playing 2b? I thought the same thing. Haha.
