  1. Noticed many teams have announced non-roster invitees. Kinda boring, but it would at least be a reminder of who is there. Can’t remember the catcher from the Nationals that signed.
  2. I don’t think there’s any doubt Kimbrel is gone by Monday night.
  3. Ok, fine. We’ll take Nolan Gorman.
  4. https://www.tcdb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/204547/cid/13721142/2019-Topps-Update-US99-Parallel-Poise Is this card more valuable now?
  5. Underwhelming, but fine if they get Conforto or better for RF.
  6. I like that they’re doing this because it may make the sport more national than regional. But I’m surprised they’re going to do this considering travel costs, more west coast games for central and East teams, and there’s an outside chance a very mediocre division could have a losing record win a division. More than likely they’ll do this for a few years while they settle on the TB/Oak stadium issues and two team expansion, and then MLB will have a big realignment where the Sox and Cubs play at least 13 games a season.
  7. That would be a nice get. He and Lindor didn’t get along, so I’m definitely on this guy’s side.
  8. Carson Fulmer is relieved hearing that rule
  9. While they were at it, they should’ve done something about the size of first base and clear up the throwing lane rule.
  10. Looks like Nightengale was right that teams weren’t going to announce anything tonight.
  11. Dan Hayes (yes, him) is reporting the Twins series will be in Chicago 10/3-5, tentatively. So the at Royals games will have to be made up during the season.
  12. I would think: 13 games x 4 (division teams) 3 games x 15 (vs NL teams) + 1 vs cubs (2/2 series) 6 or 7 games x 10 AL teams out of division 52+ 46+ 64= 162 I like playing a variety of teams, but there’s also an outside chance a 5-team division could have a very low win total. At this point, just get rid of divisions, and play a balanced schedule.
  13. Player photos are back. So that’s what Jason Bilous looks like.
  14. Earth angel…
  15. I like it, but that means more west coast games potentially, and could mean a lot of teams losing off days for makeup games. We’ll see how it goes.
  16. Ratification is in 15 minutes, and then it’s on.
  17. Basically if it’s 19 head to head, very important to win 10 of them. Assuming it’s head to head first, then division record.
  18. That’s ok. As long as you know what the tie breaker rules are, adjust accordingly. I also like that the 2-3 seeds need to max out on wins. No resting starters because it’s way too important to go for the 2-seed. I’m so happy they didn’t go to 14.
  19. I’ve been against it, but with the universal DH and probable expansion someday, it makes sense to go geographic- 16 eastern time zone, 8 central, 8 pacific.
  20. They’ll tinker with the existing. More than likely, the Sox will end the season in KC 10/3-10/5 and they’ll mix in 3 makeup games with the Twins to make up the opening series.
  21. 4 weeks. Might be Friday, April 8 at Detroit for the White Sox. Actually, I’m thinking now 4/8 will be an off day. You know, the built in off day for opening day in Detroit. Same thing for the home opener. Probably Monday 4/11, and off on the 12th.
  22. This picture reminds me…drug testing starts up again. Somebody will get busted.
  23. I don’t either, for the record. I want Burger and Sheets to stay, but…
  24. I see Bassitt in a Sox uniform and Sheets in a A’s uniform.
