Cease To Padres per Passan
Sox have needed LH bats for years and he’s owner won’t pay for them. Is this public now?

Cease To Padres per Passan
Do we want Mayo? I wouldn’t be thrilled with that outcome, personally. I think he’s going to mash but he’s a RHH 1B. I’m just not that interested in another righty corner player.

Speculation Morosi is tight with Getz. That’s out there for a reason

Cease To Padres per Passan
I just think Brian Cashman will make a deal. I’m not sure if Mike Elias will.

Cease To Padres per Passan
They could probably get it done without him but I wonder if they’d rather move Dominguez than Arias at this point.

Cease To Padres per Passan
It sounds like the Yankees are in pretty aggressively from some people I’ve talked to today. No idea on Boston. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up being New York. Brian Cashman has the balls to actually make a deal which could help.

The International Signing Thread
Maybe but the Sox signed Javier Mogollon for $75K last year and he’s a lock top 25 prospect in the system right now

Said he’s still expected to move

Remember that this isn’t a top 50 ranking. It’s the top 50 bonuses.

Coby Mayo won’t be in a Cease trade

Sox sign P Chris Flexen, DFA Carlos Perez
Which position player should go instead of Perez? Probably Remillard but he’s likely next. Hackenberg likely ahead of Perez on depth chart too. He might clear waivers

The OF Thread
The Sox loved Roman Anthony in the draft and Craig Breslow didn’t draft him

Cease To Padres per Passan
AA has balls. He’s very similar to Theo Epstein, Mike Rizzo and Dave Dombrowski. These other GMs aren’t power players like that. It might be Braves ultimately because AA is actually willing to make the deal

Astros might have the worst system in baseball

Cease To Padres per Passan
Dude...I don't think he knows. Nobody knows right now who the leader is for Cease or what Baltimore is willing to do. I think everyone needs to relax and find something to do haha. The White Sox offices aren't even until next week. I'm sure Chris Getz is texting, chatting with GM's etc but he's letting the pitching market settle. I don't think anything is imminent in regards to Cease.

The Orioles did something that Sox fans would've hated in the draft. They always significantly underslot early (Kjerstad, Cowser) to add talent throughout. It is tougher to do as a "large market" club because the Sox wouldn't have the extra money to play with from the free compensatory pick that Baltimore has been receiving for some reason. It's a pretty significant advantage if you also take the right players.

Asking for Holliday was a complete and total waste of time. I’d like to think they weren’t even wasting everyone’s time with that ask.

Cease To Padres per Passan
I saw that reported as well. Absolutely absurd ask if it was ever indeed mentioned. I doubt that was ever realistic. It could be. I don’t think it’s worth the risk though.

Cease To Padres per Passan
Getz likely knows what he needs minimum to make a trade and hasn’t circled back yet. This is worrisome but I still think he gets moved. Value will never be higher. Agreed but I’m not sure Baltimore has offered this. Sox wanted Cowser/Ortiz/Beavers at the deadline and Baltimore balked. I hope they enjoyed Jack Flaherty

I think it’ll be a 4 player package with anyone

Cease To Padres per Passan
The Orioles won’t include Mayo or Basallo in a Cease trade. They have to headline with one of Cowser/Kjerstad though with Norby/Ortiz as a 2nd piece. Then the rest could be a pitcher (Povich) and maybe like Max Wagner. If Orioles aren’t willing to do that, they likely aren’t getting Cease. If Sox realistically want more than that, I doubt anyone acquires him.

Sox sign former Royal LHRP Tim Hill to 1-year, $1.8M contract
No clue This would be my guess as well

I’d love for someone who covers the White Sox for a living to figure out who it is
